* 10 minute drive to the hamlet of Rideau Ferry which has a convenience store, LCBO liquor outlet, gas station, chip stand and a full service waterfront restaurant with live music.

* 20 minutes to either historic Perth or Smiths Falls offering an abundance of shopping and dining options.

* 15 minutes to the classic Port Elmsley Drive In - always a hit with the kids.

* 1:15 hour drive to either Ottawa or Kingston.
