This retreat offers the best of both worlds: a peaceful haven surrounded by nature with easy access to the vibrant life of nearby cities. It's an ideal getaway for those looking to enjoy the great outdoors with family and friends, complete with stunning river views that make every meal shared together unforgettable.
Nestled away up a curved road and framed by picturesque scenery, our cottage promises a serene stay. As this beautiful area is cherished by many families, we kindly remind you to drive with caution and keep an eye out for little adventurers exploring the surroundings!
Surrounding the cottage, you'll find all the conveniences needed to enhance your stay? including grocery stores, a hardware store, a staple Tim Hortons, and local markets offering fresh corn, eggs, meat and more.
GUEST ACCESS:
Your stay includes full access to the main house, featuring three cozy bedrooms, a stocked bathroom, a kitchen equipped for any culinary endeavor, a welcoming family room, a dining area of heartwarming meals and a sunroom that offers relaxation amidst scenic beauty.
IMPORTANT: For those seeking a touch of additional privacy can book the bunkie for an additional cost or if your booking is more than 6 people than you will automatically get the bunkie too.
The separated bunkie on the property provides a quaint retreat with two queen-sized beds, comfortable seating for relaxation and a small deck perfect for soaking in the surroundings.
Both the bunkie and the main house are cooled by remote controlled ceiling fans, ensuring comfort during warmer days. Also, the main house have the central air-condition too.
ABOUT THE SPACE:
Elevate your mornings at the coffee bar, where a Keurig single-serve coffee maker, an electric kettle and an assortment of teas and coffee pods can cater to your individual tastes.
The sunroom, bathed in natural light and a beautiful view of the river, features comfortable rattan seating for six or more. A bar-height table for eight and the lazy susan also ensures that it's perfect for gatherings. This room also houses outdoor activity toys and games, ensuring that fun for the family is just steps away.
The heart of the cottage, our family room, offers plush seating for seven or more and has a 50" TV for your entertainment. It's a haven for relaxation, stocked with indoor games and a library of books to ensure that cozy nights in are anything but dull.
Meals are a communicable affair in the dining room, with a table that comfortably seats 6 to 8 guests with the extendable table and chair pads for comfortable sitting. Whether you're cooking a large meal or a small feast, our kitchen, complete with a variety of pots, pans, dishes, cutlery and glassware, has everything you need.
The bathroom is equipped with a standing shower and ample storage.
As the day unwinds, retreat to one of the three appointed bedrooms for some down time. The master bedroom features a queen bed, a dresser and a laundry basket. The second bedroom, with a double bed, and the third with another queen bed. All of the bedrooms come equipped with a remote controlled ceiling fan/portable fan.
The main house's entrance extends into a launch area equipped with a BBQ machine complete with BBQ tools and a table with seating for four.
The main house extends to a deck with expansive water views. Here, a 6 to 8 seater patio table, complete with seat cushions stored in the patio storage, invites you to relax and unwind with your family ? all while enjoying the beautiful scene before you.
For those looking for a closer connection to the water, the lower deck is ideal for enjoying the sunset and comes equipped with relaxing chairs for hours by the river.
ACTIVITIES:
Our cottage comes equipped with everything you could need to explore the vast river surrounding you. Take a kayak out onto the water to journey the river like never before. For those who'd rather have some company with them on the water, the stand up paddle board or Canoe or pedal boat is another great way to spend some personal time with a loved one. Don't forget to wear your safety jackets and take the Marine safety kit along with you too.
Guests are welcomed to bring their own fishing rods for fishing. We have the boat lifts for you to park your boat or rental boat.
