Welcome to the Red Cedar cottage of Goderich, located just by the airport, this modest 3 bedroom one bath cottage sits perched on a cliff overlooking the lovely shores of Lake Huron. This cottage has a shared stair-trail to the mostly secluded beach below. This stair-trail is not recommended for those with limited mobility issues but less than 5 mins away are three beautiful public beach options that are all accessible with lots of amenities
The massive back yard can accommodate all your cottage sporting games, offers a shady hammock for napping and cliff side is the fireplace with impressive views. Some of the best sunsets can be admired here
The front yard can easily fit two vehicles (parking of boat with trailer by request) has an ample clothesline which can double as a badminton net in a pinch, a small shed offers two pedal bikes for you to enjoy and a front porch giving you a spot for a quiet morning coffee
The cottage greets you with a well stocked basic kitchen that offers basic pantry staples and condiments. Attached to the kitchen is the main living and dining area, TV with basic cable and high speed internet for all your streaming services, or kick it old school with the provided DVD player and discs. Some games, books, and toys will hopefully allow you to pack less.
The back deck provides enough room to take your meals outside with newer gas bbq and a large bin of amenities for the beach including games, toys, some floatation devices and chairs. Off the living area are the 3 bedrooms, two offer a double bed, closet and dresser while the third bedroom offers a bunk bed, dresser and closet and a spare mattress for sleep over guests.
We offer not only reasonable weekly stays Saturday to Saturday but also Saturday to Tuesday (3 nights)and Tuesday to Saturday stays (4 nights). All your bookings include housekeeping following your stay but all cleaning supplies are readily available should you require them during your stay. Bedding is also included along with basic linens such as tea towels, wash cloths and hand towels. You will be required to bring your own towels for both beach and bathing
Just a stone throw from Goderich and all it has to offer, including the G2G trail, public beaches, the historic Gaol, the "square" with all its beautiful shops, boutiques and restaurants. Come see what Ontario's West coast has to offer. Grand Bend, Bayfield and Blyth are all great options for day-tripping.
