This was my second time staying at The Red Canoe Lodge. The first was in mid-August with a group of friends (5 adults) and this time was with my spouse for a cozy weekend away and both were an equally comfortable and enjoyable experience. This is a beautiful location on a private lake that was lively in the summer and very quiet at this time in the season. This cottage and property has everything you need to make the most of your stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, kayaks and a canoe, yard games, a hammock and lots of cozy blankets for the chillier weather. Ample firewood was provided for the fire pit and on a rainy evening we enjoyed some movies and board games inside. Everything was extremely clean and tastefully decorated, and Rachel prepared a lovely welcome basket with our favourite snacks and information about local points of interest. We can't wait to return and will definitely plan for a longer stay on our next visit.

We can't wait to have you again! Thank you for your wonderful review!

We had a great stay at the The Red Canoe Lodge! The cottage was very neat and tidy and had all the amenities we needed. The property is right on the lake and has a lovely new dock where you can set up chairs and hangout for the day. It's a beautiful and quiet area, which was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends. Rachel was prompt with her responses to any questions we had and she even left us a welcome package with snacks and treats. We would recommend The Red Canoe Lodge to all!

Thank you Jaya for all your kind words. Glad you enjoyed your time. We hope to have to stay again.

Our family of four, along with our Golden Doodle, stayed at The Red Canoe Lodge in July and truly had one of the best weeks we've ever had! The cottage itself is very clean and well maintained. From the updated appliances and AC in all the bedrooms, to the new dock and gorgeous firepit overlooking the lake - there wasn't a thing lacking. We spent every morning on the dock drinking our coffee with the calm misty lake at our feet. Every day on the water using the kayaks or just jumping in right off the dock (no weeds). And every evening enjoying our dinner on the patio. We were able to disconnect (altho there is wifi if need be) and enjoy a break from the outside distractions. We can't wait to come back!!

We had a great time at The Red Canoe Lodge. The lodge is cozy, lovely and well designed with all we needed. The moon rising over the lake was spectacular! Ian and Rachel are wonderful hosts. The swimming was chilly but fun. All in all, the time we spent was very relaxing, just as a cottage (or lodge) should be.

You were wonderful renters. We hope to have you back!

We spent a week at this cottage, beautiful place, clean, freshly renovated, equipped with everything you need. The lake was one of the best we've been, so peaceful, beautiful surroundings, great swimming and fishing was lots of fun.
It was located far enough from hustle and bustle and still close enough to amenities, an easy drive to beautiful Kingston too.
Rachel was a great host, very quick and clear to communicate from the moment I contacted her to request the cottage until we packed and left.
