Traditional A-frame on Buck lake undergoes a modern makeover throughout to become an amazing lakeside oasis! You will find plenty of old fashion cottage charm while you enjoy the perks of all of the modern amenities and upgrades. The interior walls are lined with white shiplap while the vaulted ceilings have been finished in pine to capture the true Muskoka cottage essence. The cottage has an open airy bright feel to the flow with open concept main floor and plenty of windows offering incredible views of nature and Buck lake from every angle. The cottage has 2 bedrooms plus the master loft and new this year additional sleeping in the Bunkie. A sleepover in the Bunkie is going to be a real treat for anyone that calls that as their room this summer! It is located at the edge of the property nestled in the trees not far from the waters edge. A lakeside treehouse of sorts!
The master loft boasts tree top views, a sky full of stars through the skylights along with a view over the upper deck to the lake. These are definitely the views you want to wake up or go to sleep to this summer! Master loft is also well known for being an incredible place to enjoy breakfast in bed so make sure you put in your request with the powers that be before your visit ends.
Off the front of the cottage there is a large wrap around screened in deck, complete with Muskoka chairs for kicking back and a bbq grill for those local steaks you picked up from Sprucedale Meats ( hint hint). Around the other side there is a comfy patio set to sit back and enjoy dinner, a game of cards or just merely relax and put your feet up! As an added bonus you will also find an amazing upper screened in deck by going up a circular stair case that would be a perfect spot to sit while enjoying a good summer read and a glass of wine and of course your morning coffee. We call this Mom's private deck! It is a great honour to be invited to the private deck so if you get to go up, do enjoy! Both decks overlook the lake and offer a tranquil space to enjoy throughout the day and evening and in any type of weather you may encounter.
Outside:
The property is a beautiful park like setting and is a wonderful place to spend time with family doing whatever outdoor activities that you enjoy. A flat grassy lot leads out to a gradual slope to the water edge. There is a sandy beach with gradual entrance into the water. Great swimming for kids with a swim raft included for extra fun. Whether you set up on the beach in your lawn chair, on the end of the dock or out on a floaty in the water this is definitely the place you want to be this summer! How about an evening fire to end the long hard day at the lake? Grab a chair and set up shop around the fire with some marshmallows, a jersey milk and some graham crackers and we promise life as you know it will seem pretty incredible!
The cottage is situated off a quiet cottage road that would be great for family walks and bike rides all while enjoying cottage country's scenery.
On the water:
The cottage comes with a swim raft, paddleboat, 2 paddleboards and 2 adult and 2 kids kayaks for you and your family to enjoy hours of fun on the lake. Whether you want to do some fishing, take a quiet paddle around the lake or do some exploring, Buck lake is a great lake to do any of the following.
