Our cottage comes with a canoe, 2 kayaks, and 1 stand-up paddle board, ready for you to have fun on the water. You can swim off the dock -- the water depth is about 6 feet at the dock's edge, and becomes deeper as you swim out. Because we are near the end of the lake, there are very few boaters and the lake is very quiet.

For those who enjoy boating, there is a boat launch on Henderson Road, just 5 minutes away from the cottage. A boat can be tied off to our well-anchored dock.

--- Kennebec Lake ---
Kennebec Lake is a long narrow lake that is over 12 km long. It spans an area of over 5 square kilometers and has a shoreline stretching for 30 kms. It's a pristine paradise for those who enjoy the great outdoors. The lake is dotted with many islands, bays and picturesque rock ridges. The northern shore of the lake and many sections of the south shore are undeveloped, giving the lake a natural park feel about it.
--- What makes this cottage special ---
The cottage is located at the end of the lake with very few neighbours in the area, giving it a remote feel. Other than the neighbor on one side, the surrounding landscape is largely natural. The view of the other side of the lake is the undisturbed natural landscape of the Canadian Boreal Forest.
A pond on the south side of the property hosted a local beaver and family of painted turtles last year. Depending on the time of year, you may hear the trill of frogs and singing of songbirds. You may also hear moose rutting in the fall, coyotes howling, and whippoorwills and other song birds singing in the spring, along with loon calls, quacking ducks and honking geese. Warning -- Rocky the red squirrel may try to drop a pine cone on you.
The cottage is new, and completed in 2024. It is made almost completely of solid white and red pine.
On the outside grounds, the lot has the rugged beauty of broken rock and a mix of mature white pine and hardwood trees. On the inside, the natural beauty of the outdoors is brought in with the white pine timbers, log walls, and pine walls and floors. Whether you are inside or out, you are surrounded by something of natural beauty to appreciate.
