SHORT-TERM RENTAL LICENCE NUMBER: STR25-00051 in the Township of Minden Hills New cozy cottage perched on a waterfront cliff on a small lake 2 hours north of Toronto. For Ganaraska Hiking Trail Association (GHTS) members, our property is located a 750 m walk from the Ganaraska Wilderness Hiking trail. https://ganaraska-hiking-trail.org/?page_id=26 The terrain is very rugged and beautiful, with rocky hills and a mixed forest of red pine, white pine, oak, cedar, maple and more.
---> Inside A modern kitchen is equipped with new small fridge, small stove and microwave. The bathroom has a shower and composting toilet. The custom designed 340 sf bachelor layout has a cozy bedroom space plus an open concept living / kitchen area. The coffee table top pulls up to create a desk surface in front of the pullout couch. On cool days, electrically heated floors will keep you very comfortable. There is a ceiling fan and insulated blinds that help keep the cabin cool on hot summer days. And if needed, an air-conditioning unit. All 12 windows in the cabin have a view of trees.
----> Grounds Outside, you can relax and listen to the wind sighing through the pine trees. Have a nap in a hammock nestled between the cottage and the lake. Lounge on the deck chairs or on the dock. Meditate on the deck or on a mossy nook overlooking the water. You'll be serenaded by loonsong and whippoorwills . Grill your favourite meals on a nice Napoleon BBQ.
A stairway from the deck leads 45 steps down to a deepwater floating dock that gets hours of full afternoon sun and sunset view. On hot days you can cool off in the forest shade and swim right off the dock. Water entry is deep - about 20 feet so you can't wade in but there is a sturdy ladder on the dock for getting in or out of the lake. There's a kevlar canoe available to paddle around the lake and then down a creek to another lake and river. There are 12 km of waterways to explore without portaging. In addition, there are two plastic kayaks for water fun. The deck is positioned for perfect privacy to enjoy the breeze, shade, sun, sunset and outdoor dining. Due to the rugged grounds, the property is generally not suited for those with mobility issues. Due to the proximity of a cliff edge and the deepness of the water at the dock it is not suited for children under the age of 12.
For supplies, there is a small town 10 km away with a variety store, gas station and restaurants. Full grocery and more stores and services are available 20 km away in a larger town.
There is a cottage association boatlaunch on our lake. It is a gravel slope with a tight turn, so for launching heavy boats a 4x4 type vehicle is recommended.
For guests checking out on Sundays, we usually offer a late check out time - 4 pm. to so you can savour more of the day. If you want to book dates that do not appear to be available on our calendar, please ask, we can be flexible depending on our schedule.

| We've stayed at this cottage three times now and are already planning a fourth trip later this summer…that alone says how much we enjoy it!
The views from the deck are incredible, overlooking the lake, and the dock is perfect for relaxing or jumping into the water. The lake is quiet and peaceful, making it an ideal place to unwind. Also, during the summer, the sun sets across the lake from the cottage, so you get sunshine on the property all day and a beautiful sunset to end the evening.
The cottage is well-equipped with everything you need, including air conditioning, a full kitchen (fridge, freezer, oven, microwave), comfortable furniture, towels, BBQ, and plenty of dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans. The owners are very friendly, incredibly generous, and trusting—there are no extra cleaning fees, and they let guests use the canoe, kayaks, fishing rods, and other supplies at no additional cost, which really adds to the experience.
A couple of things to keep in mind: there are quite a few stairs down to the dock, so it may not be suitable for anyone with mobility concerns. Also, the bathroom uses a composting toilet, which isn't a big deal to most, but is good to know before your stay incase it's something you care about…it has never bothered us at all.
Overall, this has become our favourite places to escape to, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and affordable lakeside getaway.

| Thank you Lisa for a wonderful long weekend. All of the photos are exactly as what exists and all instructions were very clear. The cottage was also super clean and Lisa was very responsive. The AC was an added bonus during the early July heat wave! Thanks for being such an excellent host. I highly recommend a visit to the Kawartha Dairy factory in Minden and a hike on many of the nearby trails.

| We had an amazing stay at this cottage! Lisa was so easily contactable and such a pleasant host, which made everything simple and stress-free. The cottage itself was perfect for a couples' getaway—cute, clean, and well-organized with everything clearly labeled. The balcony offered gorgeous views, and we loved spending time down at the dock fishing, soaking up the sunshine, and just enjoying the peaceful setting. Evenings were just as special—BBQ dinners on the deck, candles lit, and a movie playing on the laptop made for such cozy, memorable moments. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to relax and reconnect!
