Brand new cozy cottage perched on a waterfront cliff on a small lake 2 hours north of Toronto. Perfect for paddlers, hikers, birders, meditation, and those just wishing to relax. Suits a couple (double bed) and one other adult or child over the age of 12 on pull out (twin bed) couch. This beautifully finished custom cabin has a deck overlooking the water with sunset views and surrounded by pine trees. We have seen moose, deer, bear, loons, chickadees, blue jays, warblers, ducks, herons, ravens, eagles and many other birds.

The cabin is 2 km from the highway on a narrow and hilly gravel road, and is bordered by the Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands Provincial Park. https://www.ontarioparks.ca/park/queenelizabeth2wildlands.

For Ganaraska Hiking Trail Association (GHTS) members, our property is located a 750 m walk from the Ganaraska Wilderness Hiking trail. https://ganaraska-hiking-trail.org/?page_id=26
The terrain is very rugged and beautiful, with rocky hills and a mixed forest of red pine, white pine, oak, cedar, maple and more.

We enjoyed a relaxing week at Sleepy Pines as first time guests. We found the cottage clean and comfortable. The terrain around the cottage is well described, not for anyone with any mobility issues. Beautiful lakefront view from the tree house like setting, lakefront swimming down at the dock was perfect in the mid September afternoon sun. We were very fortunate with the weather during our stay, had the canoe out one afternoon. Great communication with our hosts for any questions that came up during our stay

Much appreciated David, it was a pleasure dealing with you and so happy you enjoyed our property!

This cottage was a joy to stay in. It feels brand new inside with lots of wood, great light, a tidy, tasteful kitchen, and excellent use of space. Perched on a cliff overlooking the lake and tucked in behind a smattering of red pines, it provides great west-facing views, lots of privacy and almost feels like you're in a treehouse. The walk down to the dock is pretty steep so this might not be the place for you if you have mobility issues or young children but the boats are in great shape and there's lots to explore around the lake. The owners provide lots of helpful details and clearly keep the place in great shape; the cottage games and puzzles were a nice touch, too. We would definitely rent this again.

Thanks Fraser, we are so pleased you were able to enjoy the place!

What a beautiful spot! Felt very private and secluded. The cottage is well appointed with everything we needed for the weekend and was immaculately clean to boot. Bed was very comfy. It was easy to relax. An occasional boat and the loons were the only sounds to be heard. As remote as it feels we were a short drive to some yummy restaurants, bakery and farmers market. The lake is lovely and having access to kayaks and a canoe was such a plus. We will definitely be back!

Thanks Jayson, glad you both enjoyed it and we appreciate the pics you sent us!

Perfect weekend getaway spot!!! We had the most amazing experience at Sleepy Pines. The views were absolutely stunning, the lake was quiet and peaceful (perfect to swim and canoe in!), and everyone on the lake was so friendly and welcoming!

The cabin itself was clean, tidy, well organized and had everything we needed. The owners were great to work with and made every aspect of the stay from the trip up to the check out time feel smooth and effortless. They were kind, attentive, and readily available if needed. You can tell by just being there for a couple of days how much effort and love they have put into this space and how excited they are to share their slice of heaven with others. If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and fun cottage experience - I cannot recommend Sleepy Pines Lakefront Cabin enough!

Hi Claire,
So happy you could get up there and enjoy our little paradise!

This beautiful newly built cottage is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. Perched on the rocks of the Canadian Shield, it's like being in a tree house. Everywhere you look, there are trees and spectacular views. The cottage, and everything in it, is brand new with top quality, easy to use appliances. It is stylishly decorated and well designed to make the best use of space. Every detail and convenience has been attended to. There are comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces for relaxing or dining. The decks face west where you can watch glorious sunsets over the lake. The cottage is in an excellent location for swimming, hiking, canoeing and kayaking. Don't miss out on this gem in cottage country!
