Note: Located 5 minutes to downtown Bancroft with many amenities, restaurants and entertainment, this is an ideal cottage destination all year round! We are located on Spurr Lake, a very clean and quiet lake with fishing of small mouth bass and sunfish. The area around the dock is clear of weeds and about 6 ft at the end of the dock with a sandy soil bottom. Minutes to ATV/Snomobile Trails. | Had an excellent stay at this perfect little cabin. The whole area is stunning, especially as the fall colours start to shine, and the cabin itself couldn't be better. Ali has managed to get everything you could possibly need into quite a cozy space without losing any of the charm. Definitely recommend using the sauna and exploring the area.

| We had a fantastic long weekend with the family! The place is very clean, cozy, private and it is close to the town of Bancroft! We loved the lake, the sauna and the huge veranda from where you can sip your morning coffe and enjoy the view. The cottage is equiped with the essentials, but even if something is missing a quick trip to Bancroft will resolve the issue.
Even though there are some stairs to reach the lake we loved the cardio and made many trips up and down. The water was absolutely perfect and we enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding on the lake.
Ali was a wonderful host. She was very easy to reach and gave as clear instructions about the cottage.
We hope to go back for another wonderful vacation.

| Our stay at this cottage was lovely, and the host was very helpful as well. Ali was a pleasure to deal with, she answered emails / texts in a reasonable amount of time and provided all the info we needed. The cottage was spacious, not as spacious as others we have stayed at, as it is only one level, however it was plenty of space for the group of 10. The lake was beautiful, quiet, calm and great for swimming and fishing (brother in law caught many bass). The only drawback was how far down the lake was from the cottage, it was quite a steep walk down to the deck / lake. But once you were down there, it was lovely. We would prepare ourselves with drinks, snacks, towels etc before heading down to the lake. This is really only a concern with elderly or very young kids. If our kids were small, this proximity / steepness of cottage to lake would not be fun. Our group had kids over age of 10 so it was ok for us and no one minded the little trek down / up.
Overall I would recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a tranquil getaway as the cottage had everything we needed, beds were comfortable and the host was very nice to deal with.
