Situated on the shores of Georgian Bay and only a three-hour drive from Toronto, this unique property has everything needed for your stay. This cottage compound presents many offerings while providing ideal accommodations for a large family group. With four buildings, each offering a different setting, as well as the dock, extensive beach, firepit, and boathouse with the sauna, there are many places to unwind.
Over the carport and steps up, there is a treehouse, specifically, a beautiful 'back to nature' area that has a couch, a propane heater and plenty of windows and skylights. The perfect spot for quiet conversation, reading, or even yoga. There are plenty of outdoor activities for the entire family. The extensive, private, sandy beach with a shallow entry for the children to play, a floating dock for sunbathing, trying your hand at bocce ball, or playing in the water with the water toys, fun abounds. This provides space to be together but also provides individual spaces for relaxation and solitude.
The main cottage is the hub of the property. There are two entrances to the kitchen. The first entrance houses the outdoor bar fridge and fridge drawers and other storage spaces, maybe even the fishing rods. Inside this door you will find space for hanging coats, sweaters or even towels for the beach. The first bathroom is in this area. It provides a standup shower as well as laundry facilities.
The fully equipped kitchen offers a stainless-steel fridge and stove, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, toaster oven, and all the tools and dishes needed to either barbeque or prepare a meal indoors. The walk-in pantry offers plenty of storage for the pots and pans, serving bowls and more kitchen tools. There are two breakfast bars with seating for three to four people at each end, so you will always have company during meal preparations. The second entrance leads directly into the kitchen.
The dining room offers seating for 8, possible more by using the extra chairs around the table. There is a sliding door from the dining room onto the deck overlooking the lake.
The main cottage has three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, and a closet. The view from this bedroom overlooks the lake. The second bedroom has twin bunkbeds, and a closet. There are shelves for games and books in this bedroom. The third bedroom also has a queen bed, and a closet. The view from this bedroom overlooks the back and side yard. A full bathroom can be found in the bedroom area on this level.
The other bedrooms are in different buildings on this unique property. The fourth private queen size bedroom is in the small building at the entrance to the main cottage. There is a separate entrance, a queen bed and nightstand. The boathouse houses the fifth bedroom. This bedroom is at the waterfront at one end of the private beach. One half of the boathouse contains a sitting room with a sofa and table and chairs as well as shelves with books. One step up from the sitting area is the queen bed and a single bed. The other half of the boathouse has the bathroom with a stand-up shower. The woodburning sauna and a small games room can also be found here. The wide boathouse doors open to overlook the water. There are Muskoka chairs on the beach close to the boathouse.
An open concept living space in the main cottage offers a three-seater sofa, a loveseat, and four chairs. The comfortable living area contains large windows offering perfect views of the lake and is the place to be at the end of the day after being in the sun at the waterfront. There are shelves with books and games as well.
Additional amenities include high-speed, unlimited internet access.
An amazing property. Unique in its variety of buildings and spaces on the property, it will be a decision each day as to whether you want to sit in the sauna, go fishing, or relax in the inviting treehouse. With this property being in a great location, visit the Norse Brewery, the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame, Snug Harbour Lighthouse, Killbear Provincial Park, the local pottery in Nobel, or any of the numerous shops and boutiques. It is a 30-minute drive to Parry Sound or 10-20 minutes to Carling or Nobel. For golf enthusiasts, play a round at the Parry Sound Golf and Country Club.
