Welcome to this charming family cottage in Muskoka. Only a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Toronto and close to the town of Bracebridge makes this an ideal location for a family holiday. For multi-generational families, there is something for everyone, whether it be around the water for swimming, canoeing or fishing, or nearby for shopping, restaurants, and fun family activities.
From the driveway, take six steps down to the welcoming front door. Inside, there is plenty of space. On the right is the storage room which also houses the washer and dryer. This room is great for your storage too.
To the left is the kitchen providing sufficient counter space for meal preparation as well as appliances needed. The full-size fridge and stove to the dishwasher, microwave, the dishes, serving ware, utensils, the drip coffee maker, electric kettle, and toaster. The kitchen is open to the dining table. Company and great conversations can be had while preparing meals and it makes serving meals a breeze. There is seating for six around the dining table. From the dining area there is a door to the side deck which has the barbeque and the extra mid size fridge. A wooden platform off the side deck offers a picnic table for outdoor dining.
The bright, open living room has a sofa, love seat, and chairs. They are positioned perfectly for watching a movie on the Smart TV or enjoying the view from the double sliding doors. It is also a perfect space to gather for family games night. Many games or movies can be found just inside the entrance, under the stairs. There is also the bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The cottage offers three bedrooms and sleeps six. All the bedrooms are on the second level. Each bedroom has a small dresser, a small closet, and a portable fan for the warmer nights. The master bedroom, on the right at the top of the stairs, has a queen size bed. In this bedroom, the door directly across from the entrance door leads to an upper-level deck. The view is fantastic. The second and third bedrooms are on the left at the top of the stairs. Bedroom two has a queen size bed. This bedroom has a small tv for movies or games. A great kids room. The third bedroom has a double bed.
Decks surround two sides of this cottage. The upper deck offers a beautiful lake view. Double sliding doors from the living room to the main level deck is the outdoor space that can be used for conversation, quiet reading time, the great lake view or to watch the children and the young at heart enjoy being close to or in the water. The side deck, accessible from the kitchen and dining area or the front deck, houses the barbeque and the extra fridge offering a great convenience for meal preparations.
Outdoors offers relaxation and fun. The pathway of stone steps and under the arbour leads to the firepit and to the dock for swimming or using the kayak, canoe, or splash pad, and of course, fishing. Relax in one of the two Muskoka chairs on the dock.
The cottage is equipped with Wifi and a television, a plethora of games and movies, or stargazing around the firepit in the evenings.
For venturing away from the cottage, Bracebridge is nearby, a short fifteen-minute drive. The main street in Bracebridge offers shopping, the Saturday morning market in the park, to a variety of restaurants, view the Bracebridge Falls, art galleries, arts & crafts, Santa's Village, or take a cruise on the Lady Muskoka II.
