| This was the perfect place for a family get away. Travelling with extended family (ranging in age from 14-78), so we also rented a neighbouring unit and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful property and friendly neighbourhood. Jim and Helene were outstanding hosts, greeting us and providing great tips for attractions in the area without being intrusive. The location of this property was very convenient, with groceries, hardware store, beverages and ice cream all within a very short walk. Delicious fresh seafood was available for purchase just over the bridge (2 minute by car) or a picturesque drive along the water to Shediac produced even more options. The home was well equipped for eating in with a good sized BBQ and all necessary pots, pans, bowls plates etc to enjoy meals "at home". Attractions in Bouctouche, Shediac, Moncton-Dieppe were all less than 30 minutes away. There are opportunities for fun fishing in the area and Jim is an expert at providing information about where to go. It was our first time in New Brunswick and we found that this home offered a wonderful "home base" for day trips in the area and even over to PEI. The home was lovely and exactly as pictured. Views over the water were spectacular morning and night. We hope to return and would definitely consider this unit as a very nice option.

Owner response: Thanks guys. We really enjoyed meeting you and especially introducing Marcus to mackerel and striped bass fishing! But since he caught the biggest fish, you are not allowed to come back!!!! Lol! Would love to host you again! | |

| Jim and Hélene's house was beautiful. It was well equipped, clean, quiet, private and exactly what we were looking for. It was perfect to be close to so many different places to visit, like Bouctouche, Shediac and the Bay of Fundy, but to have an our own quiet home to return to.
We enjoyed the views off of the east facing deck each morning. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the views, making dinner on the BBQ, eating meals outside, lounging on the comfy deck couch, sitting by the bonfire and spending time on the water.
Jim and Hélene greeted us when we arrived. They were kind, friendly and responsive. We couldn't have asked for better hosts. We were happy to get recommendations from Hélene at the visitors center in Bouctouche on local places to visit. We had a blast at the recommended outings, and even found a local strawberry farm where we could pick our own fruit. Jim helped out with info on where to fish, and golf locally and even helped source some kayaks for our boys to explore the bay on their own.
We couldn't have asked for a better place to call home for a few days. All three of my teenage boys wished we could have spent our entire vacation at Jim and Hélene's cottage. If we ever get a chance to come back to New Brunswick, we will be hoping to return to this perfect place.
