Welcome to Nature's Way on Salmon Trout Lake! Nature's Way is a perfect 3 season lakefront getaway for couples or a family of 4. Our rustic 16 x 20, west facing cabin provides a quiet escape in cottage country with direct access to Salmon Trout Lake. Enjoy sitting on the deck or out on the dock taking in the views. Inside you can cozy up around the gas fireplace and watch TV or play games. The cabin sleeps 4 (either 2 couples or a family of 4). There is a queen bed in the loft area and a queen pull out couch on the main floor. The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge, stove, microwave oven, as well as Keurig coffee maker, kettle, waffle maker, toaster, hand mixer, and electric griddle. Outside there is a BBQ for grilling. The water is from a drilled well and is drinkable. Everything you need for a relaxing getaway is provided. All you will need to pack is your food, beverages and personal items. We supply the toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, parchment paper, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and dishwashing soap, as well as, BBQ propane, and enough kindling/ firewood for campfires during your stay. Please note that having a campfire is dependent on local fire regulations. The cabin is supported with a backup generator in case of a power outage. High speed internet/WIFI is provided as well.
The cabin includes a wrap-around deck with convenient access to the lake. Enjoy time out on the lake, which features easy access to the water. Kayaks, a pedal boat, paddle board and canoe are available for use during your stay along with assorted sizes of life jackets, safety kits and some inflatable water toys. Salmon Trout Lake is great for fishing walleye and smallmouth bass. The property gently slopes from the road to the lake, and has plenty of parking for 4 vehicles. A public boat launch is at the north end of the lake.
Nature's Way is located halfway between Toronto and Ottawa, in Monteagle Township, Hastings Highlands, Ontario. The area has many different activities to explore if you are interested. The town of Bancroft is about 20 minutes away and is home to a hospital, many restaurants, a live theatre, grocery shopping (No Frills, Foodland), Tim Horton's, Starbucks, LCBO, the Beer Store and a variety of shops. There are also many different areas to explore close by, including Egan Chutes Provincial Park, Eagles Nest and High Falls just to name a few.
We have invested considerable effort in maintaining our cottage to a high standard, ensuring it is spotless and welcoming for your stay, and we appreciate your care and consideration during your time here. That being said, there is no smoking/vaping inside the cabin. Ultimately, we are looking to rent to responsible couples and families, it is not a rental for partying. Nature's Way is a Friday to Friday weekly rental. During the off-season, weekend rentals are available.
