Welcome to Nature's Way Bancroft on Salmon Trout Lake! ** Starting 2026, we will be adding a new bedroom with ensuite ** Nature's Way Bancroft is the perfect 3-season lakefront retreat for couples or a family of 4. Our charming 16x20 west-facing cabin offers a peaceful escape in cottage country with direct access to Salmon Trout Lake. Relax on the deck or the dock, taking in the breathtaking views. Inside, enjoy the cozy ambiance around the gas fireplace while watching TV or playing games. The cabin accommodates up to 4 guests, ideal for 2 couples or a family of 4. It features a queen bed in the loft area and a queen pull-out couch on the main floor. The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge, stove, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, kettle, waffle maker, toaster, hand mixer, and electric griddle. Outside, there's a BBQ for grilling. The water comes from a drilled well and is potable. We provide everything you need for a relaxing stay. Just bring your food, drinks, and personal items. We supply toilet paper, paper towels, parchment paper, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, dishwashing soap, BBQ propane, and enough firewood/ kindling for your campfires (subject to local fire regulations). An automatic backup generator is connected in case of a power outage, and high-speed internet/Wi-Fi is included.
The cabin boasts a large wrap-around deck with easy access to the lake. Enjoy kayaking, pedal boating, paddleboarding, or canoeing, along with life jackets, and safety kits. Salmon Trout Lake offers excellent fishing opportunities for pickeral and smallmouth bass. The property gently slopes from the road to the lake, with parking for up to 4 vehicles. A free public boat launch is located at the north end of the lake.
Nature's Way Bancroft is conveniently located halfway between Toronto and Ottawa, in Monteagle Township, Hastings Highlands, Ontario. Bancroft, just 20 minutes away, offers a hospital, restaurants, live theatre, grocery stores (No Frills, Foodland), Tim Hortons, Starbucks, LCBO, and a variety of shops. Nearby attractions include Egan Chutes Provincial Park, Eagles Nest, and High Falls.
We take great pride in maintaining our cabin to the highest standards to ensure a spotless and welcoming experience. We kindly ask for your consideration after your stay that you leave the cabin as you found it. Please note that smoking/vaping is not allowed inside the cabin. We seek responsible guests as this is not a party rental.
Nature's Way Bancroft is available for weekly Friday - Friday rentals during the Summer Season, with weekend rentals available during the Spring and Fall seasons only.
We own the cottage next to Nature's Way Bancroft and we ensure your complete privacy but should you need anything, we are there to help.

| We can't thank Brad and Kelly Smith enough for the memorable stay at their cabin. It was even better than what we were hoping for. The location is breathtaking... beautiful, serene, peaceful; and made even lovelier by the autumn colours reflecting in the lake.
Sitting in the Muskoka chairs on the dock by the water and listening to the incredible quietness of the nature surrounding us was truly nourishment for the soul. (Even the loons on the lake were very obliging and delighted us with their calls every now and then.)
Although we only used the canoe, we were impressed by the other watercraft to choose from: kayaks, paddleboat, paddle board - complete with paddles and lifejackets, all right at your fingertips. And if your preference happens to be land to water, there is a badminton net set up for a good game or two, and a great fire pit for star gazing and marshmallow roasting.
The beautifully appointed cabin (with a wonderful deck facing the lake) was cozy and comfortable... it was no hardship whatsoever to be indoors when it was raining! It's evident that a great deal of thought went into the style and design of the cabin, making it both welcoming and accommodating.
We have some beautiful new memories (and hundreds of photos!) to hang onto for many years to come, and we look forward to spending time there again.

| We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! The space was cozy, comfortable, and very well kept. The cabin itself is gorgeous, and designed thoughtfully! We especially enjoyed spending time on the lake canoeing and kayaking; it was one of the calmest and quietest lakes we've been on. The water has a shallow entry off the dock, so perfect for beginner kayakers... who may take a dip in the lake! When not at the dock, we enjoyed the wrap around deck, watching the birds and chipmunks. The sunsets through the trees were amazing, and the night skies were incredibly clear — perfect for stargazing. The BBQ was new and worked great, making our dinners fantastic.
Brad and Kelly were welcoming and responsive, and the cabin was actually even better than described. We almost don't want to share this review — we'd love to keep this gem to ourselves! But we can't recommend it enough for anyone seeking a quiet, enjoyable getaway. We hope to return again next year!

| We had the most amazing weekend at this beautiful cottage! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless, cozy, and incredibly welcoming. The interior is tastefully decorated with a warm, rustic charm while still offering all the modern amenities you could need.
The location is perfect — peaceful, surrounded by nature, and on the lake. We enjoyed mornings on the deck with coffee, evenings by the fire pit, and stargazing at night. The hosts were fantastic — super responsive, thoughtful, and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We can't wait to come back!

| Great renovated cabin, workmanship top notch , hosts great at greeting, you may be accused of things you didn't do so they can go after your security deposit, large property beautiful place,bring your own tent to sleep in so you avoid extra charges, you may destroy the lawn, there's no win , yet again beautiful property!!!

| We had a marvelous time at Nature's Way. Not only is it located in an idyllic setting, with beautiful views, but the cabin itself is also handsomely appointed and a perfect retreat spot for a couple. We had a great time cooking and dining on the deck, paddling around the lake and enjoying the natural beauty of the place, while having all the required comforts inside the cabin.
Brad and Kelly are also excellent hosts, very attentive and super nice. We want to thank them both!
We definitely recommend booking a stay with them!
