| Jessica's cottage was better than advertised. The lake was pristine and quiet, as there are only cottages on a small part of the East shore. Around the dock the water is shallow and the lakebed is rocky (free of vegetation). The week we were there the winds were strong and the water was pretty choppy, especially given the size of the lake, so I would recommend caution for less experienced paddlers. Of note the sun goes down almost directly across from the house so sunsets were spectacular. The road to the cottage was lined with wild blackberries, we spent several hours foraging. Though we barely spent any time inside, the house itself was large, clean, comfortable, and well equipped.

| We rented the cottage for a week with our family and just loved it. The house is clean and well-maintained and very spacious. It had a fantastic selection of water craft to keep us busy outdoors including 2 kayaks, a stand up paddle board and a paddle boat. Indoor entertainment is also plentiful with a pool table, ping pong table and a couple of arcade games that both kids and adults spent lots of time playing. There's also a full-size popcorn machine in the basement and they were kind enough to provide some popcorn kernels for the guests. They also made our arrival feel extra special with a welcome basket of snacks and drinks.
The house also has a sunroom that was a favourtie hangout spot for adults and kids alike and it had a telescope!
The entry into the water is nice and shallow and my 5 year old could touch the bottom even at the ladder on the side of the dock near the end. Water shoes are recommended though because the entry is pretty rocky but the water is clear. There's a nice little sandy beach off to the side that the kids loved playing on as well. Although it's on a big body of water, there are very few motor boats around because the land across the river is just forest so there aren't all that many cottages around. So although the neighbours are pretty close the lake was surprisingly peaceful.

| Our stay at this cottage was truly wonderful. The space is thoughtfully designed, with plenty of room indoors and outdoors for our group of 12 to be comfortable without feeling crowded. The cottage itself is beautiful, very well maintained, and has a fresh, modern feel. It comes with all the amenities we needed!
The outdoor area was great! The property is large, clean, and beautifully kept, and the lake is clean, clear and perfect for swimming! We really enjoyed the kayaks and boats. For the kids, the basement game room with the pool table and arcades is a highlight, especially on rainy days when they need something fun indoors.
This cottage truly offers the best of both worlds—comfort and beauty, with thoughtful touches that make it stand out. It's a place we would gladly return to and one we highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

| My family spent a week at Serenity on Bark Lake. There were 8 adults and 4 children. It was a fabulous week! The cottage is beautiful, with large spacious shared spaces. The kitchen and dining area were perfect, and having 2 fridges and freezers was very helpful with all the food we brought. The play room off the kitchen was great for the kids.The downstairs playroom and movie room were a treat for both kids and adults.
The lake and surrounding views are beautiful and we spent much of our days at the sandy beach, on the dock, and in the water. We also took advantage of the kayak, paddleboat and paddle board.
We had gorgeous weather, and found that there was little shade on the property for most of the day. The air conditioning in the cottage was much appreciated. Some sort of awning or large umbrella on the back deck might help make it more comfortable to sit outside.
Communications with Jessica were excellent - she responded quickly at all times and was very helpful. All in all it was a great experience that we would highly recommend!

| Amazing stay at Serenity on Bark Lake. Lovely bright sunny cottage, with loads of space for our family of eleven to spread out. Sunroom was a particular favourite. Basement was a dream for our kids, with the table tennis table, pool table and games. The waterfront was great - lake was crystal clear and warm. Lots of loungers and chairs as well as kayaks and a paddle board. We have rented a good number of cottages over the years - this one takes 'spot number one.'
