Welcome to our charming 4-season cottage, your perfect year-round getaway! Nestled on the north shores of Round Lake, just 12 minutes north of Havelock, ON, our cottage offers the ideal retreat for every season. Whether you're looking to enjoy summer lakeside activities, fall foliage, winter adventures, or the fresh spring air, our cozy retreat is designed for comfort and relaxation. Freshly painted and all the modern amenities of home, wi-fi internet, air conditioning, and plenty of space to unwind, you'll find everything you need for a memorable stay.
The Northside Nook comfortably sleeps 6 guests (4 adults max) in 3 well-appointed bedrooms. The primary suite on the upper level sleeps two in a heavenly new king bed. The lower level boasts two more bedrooms, the first private room with a double bed, the second with a twin bunk. All rooms feature brand-new memory foam mattresses and furnishings and an abundance of built-in cabinetry to store away all your belongings.
Please bring appropriately sized linens (sheet sets & blankets) for the 4 beds, pillows are provided. Please note upper bunk is only suitable for children.
The upper level living room is a warm and welcoming space that features a large window that spans one side of the room, offering a stunning view of Round Lake as its focal point. Throughout the day, sunlight pours in, casting a soft golden glow that fills the room. Natural wood touches?like exposed beams and pine ceilings?bring the outdoors in, adding a cozy, rustic charm. The living room flows effortlessly into the upper-level deck, well appointed-kitchen, and primary bedroom & main floor bath with ensuite privileges, creating a functional and connected layout.
The Nook, our cottages namesake and our favourite spot, is tucked into a quiet corner in the upper hallway. It's a perfect spot for morning coffee or evening cocktails with stunning lake views. The sunlight streams in during the day, bathing the space in warmth, while the view transforms at night into a peaceful reflection of the moon and stars on the lake.
The Northside Nook has a charming and well appointed kitchen. An abundance of custom built in cabinetry
was designed for easy living. Two large deep stainless sinks sit beneath a window that frames the lake view beyond, washing up feels less like a chore and more like a chance to soak in the beauty. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, fridge and a built-in microwave, along with a charming coffee nook all within reach, please see the guide book for more details. All of the necessities you could need to whip up a gourmet meal are at your fingertips! If you find something is missing, just let us know! The water is pulled and filtered from the lake, and safe for bathing and drinking but we also provide a Brita water jug in the fridge or encourage you to bring your own water for your comfort.
Coming in the back door or descending to the ground level of the cottage, a cozy lower level family room awaits. This space is designed for comfort and relaxation, perfect for curling up after a day by the lake. Cool and serene in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter months. Opposite the gas fireplace (only operational in winter months), a mounted TV is perfectly placed for movie nights or catching up on your favorite shows, a perfect spot for the kids to stretch out in their own space. This is the perfect space to unwind, nestled away in your lakeside haven.
OUTSIDE:
The Nook sits on 105 feet of Round Lake's pristine north shore on a secluded, private fire road. One of only four cottage homes, it boasts breathtaking panoramic water views from every angle. Round Lake is in the Township of Havelock- Belmont-Methuen, a picturesque rural community in the southeastern corner of Peterborough County, conveniently located between Belleville and Peterborough, and just 90 minutes east of Toronto. Nestled 12 minutes north of Havelock, Round Lake and Sebright's Bay offer a serene getaway. Spanning approximately 1,404 acres (3.5 km across) with a maximum depth of 32 feet, Round Lake is a haven for fishing enthusiasts, home to Brook Trout, Largemouth Bass, Muskellunge, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, and Yellow Perch. The long south facing dock is the perfect spot to tie up your boat (the boat launch is only 2 minutes away) or soak up the sun all afternoon long. With an approximate 6 foot depth off the end and a rocky, weed-free bottom, the clean water is the best way to cool down!
The front lakeside deck connects directly to the kitchen and living room, making it easy to grab coffee or cocktails with just a few steps. It features a table for four, complete with an umbrella, creating the perfect setting for meals or a game of cards. Built-in seating around the deck ensures there's room for everyone to relax.
The outdoor fireplace is located lakeside and will have all new outdoor seating in 2025!

- 14' tinny boat w/o motor upon request
Please bring appropriate sized life vests to ensure a proper fit - we do have a small selection available for your use. Please also note that the approximate depth off the dock is 6' and rocky, not suitable for diving and water shoes are recommended.
