Important Notes
To ensure all guests enjoy the same peaceful, family-friendly experience, we have a few important house rules:
- No parties, no smoking - this is strictly enforced
- One pet allowed on a case-by-case basis, with fee
- Maximum of 8 guests - no additional visitors or overnight guests
- No camping on the property
- The fireplace is not available for use
- Please leave the cottage and grounds clean and tidy, as you found them
- Guests must take all garbage and recycling with them at the end of their stay
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse bookings that don't align with these expectations. For your safety and ours, the property is equipped with exterior security cameras facing the driveway and the lake. There are no cameras inside the cottage.

| Really enjoyed staying. The Lake was amazing. Perfect for canoeing, diving off dock, swimming, floating with loons swimming by us and we watched a deer swim across to an island. Lots of fish to catch. So relaxing. Great rustic wooden cottage overlooking lake. Excellent sleeping arrangements. Would like to stay again, time permitting. Lots to explore.

| The cottage on Otty Lake was the perfect rest and relaxation spot for us. The different outdoor spaces allowed for full enjoyment of the breathtaking view and bird watching we enjoyed. The cottage was well maintained with super comfortable beds and nice open living space. The owner was helpful and responsive to our needs and helped us navigate the payment and deposit refund easily across our different monetary systems.

| As cottage enthusiasts, we were excited by the beautiful layout of this charming cottage nestled in the woods of eastern Ontario. 3 good sized bedrooms with large beds plus a bunkie, meant that our family of 5 (2 parents, 2 adult children and a teenager) all had their own place to sleep! The cottage was clean, with wood panelling throughout and even with the hot weather we experienced, opening windows and putting on a fan made a huge difference when sleeping. The view from the deck in the morning while eating breakfast and listening to the loon calls was amazing, and athough the kitchen was "cottagey", it had everything needed for cooking full meals and BBQing. In the evening we were able to all sit around in the open living room and play games or read books and because there was WIFI with good speed we could even watch a movie on a laptop when wanted. We explored the lake in the kayaks and canoe, and saw so much wildlife including a bald eagle, a deer on an island (!), mink and a fox. Everyone on the lake was very friendly with many waves and smiles from passing boaters as we sat on the dock or went swimming. Like most lakes in eastern ontario Otty Lake has been invaded by zebra mussels, our feet didn't touch the ground swimming off of the dock, but you should still bring crocks, slides or water shoes for walking around near the shore. Oh and just like most access to cottages, the road is rural, windy and there is lots of wildlife so drive slow and steady!
