*The Lake House is located in rural Haldimand County where the majority of grocery stores, restaurants, healthcare services, and tourist attractions are located 20-30 minutes away.
*Lake Erie is a very large open lake that can bring strong gusts of winds and waves, which can make being in the water dangerous. You and your guests are responsible for your safety in the water.
*The water levels vary and at times the beach will be under water. From time to time, algae gets blown in along the shoreline and can bring an odour. When the wind changes, it will move on.
*The reality is that cottage living often comes with unwanted pests. Mosquitoes and black flies are rare on Lake Erie however other pests such as gnats and spiders do come to visit during the summer months. We try our best to minimize them however we do need our guests to follow some simple prevention practices during their stay.
*We are not connected to any city water or septic services. Therefore we have to get water trucked in and stored in our cistern and sewage pumped out of our septic tank. This means water is limited. We require our guests to conserve water during their stay.
*Rates are based on 4 person occupancy. There will be a fee added at time of booking for extra guests up to 6 guests.
*One well trained friendly dog is permitted at our LakeHouse. Our cleaning team charges a fee that will be applied at time of reservation. We request dogs stay off bed and furniture and stay on leash when outside.
*Please have a read through our house rules before booking.
