Please note that as with many natural cottage-country lakes, the shoreline has a soft lake bottom and seasonal aquatic vegetation in the shallow water around the dock. Conditions vary throughout the season and from year to year. We've extended the dock to deeper water and installed a lake blanket near shore for easier access. Guests can also enjoy the lake with our kayaks, paddleboards, floating loungers, and other water floaties.
As the property is surrounded by forest, black flies and mosquitoes are part of the natural environment and are most noticeable during certain times of the season. We regularly treat the property to help minimize them, but some insect activity should be expected when enjoying the outdoors.
At the end of September/Early October, the boathouse is winterized, and there will be no access to the bathroom in the boathouse or outdoor shower. The dock is also removed at this time. All other amenities (including the hot tub) are fully usable during the winter months!
