Welcome to our two-bedroom + bunkie cottage, nestled on the shores of Upper Rideau Lake. This newly renovated retreat is perfect for couples, small families, or those simply looking to unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature. The cottage is comfortably furnished and filled with charm.
Living Room:
There is a comfortable living room with couches to relax and enjoy time together inside. This is an open floor plan adjacent to the kitchen.
Bedrooms and Bathroom:
There are two private bedrooms with queen beds. Four people can comfortable sleep inside the cottage. The bathroom has a stand up shower, toilet and sink with new fixtures for a comfortable stay.
Please note: You are required to bring your own linens, blankets, sheets, pillowcases and towels including dish towels. Pillows are provided.
Bunkie:
The bunkie boasts a bunk bed with queen sized beds. Great for kids or guests who would enjoy some privacy.
Screened Porch:
One of our favourite places is the large screened porch. With views of the lake, there are comfortable chairs and couches to hang out, play games or read a book. There is also a dining area with gorgeous wood table and chairs, perfect for dinner that seats 6.
Lakefront Access:
A wooden dock allows for fun in the sun, swimming right off the dock into the clean deep waters of Upper Rideau Lake. There is excellent fishing right off the dock. Public boat launch nearby. The calm lake water is the perfect place for watersports. There is a kayak, canoe and stand up paddle board for your water sport fun. If staying close to the shore is your fun, a water lily pad is available. There are a variety of sizes of life jackets available.
If you need some time in the shade, there is a sheltered waterfront sitting area with lounge chairs to do some bird watching.
*Please note that there are steps down to the water front. There is a hand railing, however, the steps are made of natural stone and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues*
Hot Tub:
A wood-fired cedar hot tub is one of the prized posessions at the cottage. This is an amenity where the reward is worth the effort! If you wish to use the hot tub, you will be provided with instructions. Just be aware that the natural hot tub requires time and dedication to make it just right.
Parking:
There is parking for 3 vehicles in front of the property.
Wifi:
We have reliable fibre wifi so you can work from the cottage or stream any of your favourite streaming services from your own devices.
Location:
The cottage is situated between two other properties, offering privacy without feeling isolated. We value our peaceful surroundings and respect our neighbours, so we maintain a quiet atmosphere for all to enjoy. It's a regular occurrence to see deer, chipmunks, owls and more. This is our oasis and we hope you love it like we do!
