Nestled in the charming village of Port Albert, this cozy cottage offers a peaceful family retreat just a 2-minute walk from the beaches of Lake Huron. Perfect for families or friends seeking a quiet getaway, the cottage sits between two properties for extra seclusion. Tucked away from traffic and noise, it's the ideal spot to unplug, unwind, and reconnect.
Inside, you'll find space for everyone: two queen bedrooms (primary includes a fold-down futon), one double room, and a fun twin bunk room for kids. The full indoor bathroom offers a compact, efficient shower (no tub) in a bright cozy space, a shelf for toiletries, plus an optional outhouse for traditionalists. An outdoor shower at the front (with hot water) is perfect for rinsing sandy feet after beach days.
The open living space flows out onto two large decks—perfect for morning coffee, afternoon barbeques, or late-night stargazing around the cozy fire pit. Enjoy movie nights or remote work with high-speed fibre internet and streaming via Amazon Fire Stick, Apple TV, (Netflix, Disney+, etc. via guest accounts).
The well-stocked kitchen includes a Keurig, Cuisinart coffee maker, crock pot, etc. plus two fridges/freezers, filtered water, and fridge condiments. Fans throughout the cottage keep summer breezes circulating, while big windows welcome fresh lake air.
For family fun, we provide board games, books for all ages, a Pac-Man/Galaga arcade, and outdoor activities like cornhole and bocce. Beach days are a breeze with our provided beach chairs, umbrellas, and wagon for easy carry. Evenings bring the magic—roast marshmallows under a brilliant Milky Way, and listen for the village bagpiper at sunset.
