About Two Lakes Cottage
Experience a one-of-a-kind tranquil getaway on 3.5 acres of private forest. Two Lakes Cottage is a stunning 2,000 sq. ft. authentic log home uniquely nestled on the connecting river between Head Lake and Rush Lake. With access to two different lakes directly from our property, your stay offers double the adventure and total privacy.
The Space
Our 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom log home comfortably hosts families or groups of up to 8.
Outdoor Luxury: Spend your days on the expansive upper deck featuring a unique glass treehouse with refreshing river views.
The Spa: Unwind ALL YEAR in our private Sauna and Hot Tub under the stars.
Game Room: Entertainment for all ages with a Foosball table, a 3-in-1 game table (Air Hockey, Pool, Ping Pong), Xbox, PS3, and a library of board games.
Adventure Ready: We provide a fleet of watercraft, including a single kayak, a double kayak, and a 4-person pedal boat (Life jackets included!).

Enjoy the best of both worlds:
To the Right: A 3-minute paddle leads you to the expansive Head Lake. Hint: Paddle out to the unique island for a picnic and a swim!
To the Left: A 5-minute paddle takes you into the serene Rush Lake.
Note: During dry seasons, the river narrows, providing a fun, adventurous "push" through a scenic pathway for kayaks.

Stay connected while off the grid. We provide Starlink high-speed internet (up to 150mb/
s), making video calls and remote work seamless. Pro-tip: Enable Wi-Fi calling on your device for flawless cell service inside the cabin.

The Wood Stove & Fire Pit
Indoor Stove: We love our traditional 3-way wood stove! Because it requires specific handling, we ask that only those familiar with traditional wood stoves operate it. Please notify the host before and after use.
Outdoor Pit: Enjoy the fire responsibly. Please note that City of Kawartha Lakes typically has a strict fire ban in April (minimum $500 fine).
The Spa (Hot Tub & Sauna)
To ensure your comfort, please bring your own indoor slippers, swimsuits, and bathrobes.
Garbage & Sorting ?
We include 2 bags of garbage for short stays (4 for weekly).
To avoid fees ($10/extra bag), you can visit the Laxton Waste Management Site (10 mins away). Note: It is only open Sundays and Thursdays. Please sort according to Kawartha Lakes recycling bylaws!
Coffee Service
A drip coffee machine and filters are provided. Please remember to bring your favorite ground coffee.
