Rustic Cottage on Blackfish Bay

Escape to a peaceful lakeside retreat on Blackfish Bay in the heart of the Madawaska Valley. This charming rustic cottage offers a true getaway experience, with a sunny south-facing dock, beautiful water views, and a gentle shoreline of sand and pebbles—perfect for swimming and relaxing by the lake.

Perched on a breezy bank above the water, the cottage provides fresh air and open views in a peaceful setting, with neighbouring cottages approximately 60–75 feet away.

Please note that access to the lake and dock is via outdoor stairs, so guests should be comfortable using stairs.

The cottage is modest in size. It includes two bedrooms with queen beds, a pull-out couch in the main living area, and a separate bunkie with a single bunk bed for additional sleeping space.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a stovetop (no oven), toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and fridge. A 3-piece bathroom and outdoor BBQ add to the convenience of your stay.

For those who love the outdoors, explore over 50 km of connected waterways stretching from Kamineskeg Lake to Conroys Marsh. Bring your boat—there's a dock on-site and a public launch just 8 km away in Combermere.

Located a short drive from Barry's Bay, you'll have easy access to groceries, dining, and essentials, as well as nearby golf and whitewater canoeing.

Guests are welcome to enjoy our two paddle boards, kayak, and canoe during their stay. Life jackets are available; however, we recommend bringing properly fitted life jackets for children for the best comfort and safety.
