"The prettiest spot in Westport." Ideal for a couples get away, a calm quiet nature retreat or a fun shopping spree in the many Westport boutiques. We rent to up to four adults seeking privacy and tranquility with proximity to a vibrant rural village, this beautiful 2 Bedroom, 2 bathroom 4 season vacation home was built in 2014 features a modern kitchen, hardwood floors, huge windows, 3 season sunroom, infra-red sauna, and central AC. The property is gorgeous with a variety of large trees, lush lawn and gardens. The property is on the shore of Westport Pond which is a large pond/ marsh and is not directly connected to the Rideau System. The home is 15' from the waters edge where nature abounds. Eagles, osprey, loons, ducks, geese and white tailed deer can be seen out the front window. Although the Westport Pond is not swimmable due to its depth, it is an amazing bird, fish and wildlife sanctuary and there is a public beach on Sand lake 5 minutes walk from the door. This is one of the most tranquil locations you will find....and the location is fantastic! A 10 minute walk takes you to the centre of the beautiful village of Westport, 5 minutes to stroll the Rideau Nature Trail and 5 minutes to Sand Lake Beach. Foley Mountain Conservation area can be accessed by foot. For boaters and fishers, there are free boat ramps onto Upper Rideau, Sand, Wolf and Canoe Lakes a very short distance away. By canoe, you can be paddling to Kingston or Ottawa (both downhill as Westport is the Watershed), camping at the historic locks all the way. Beautiful back roads for cyclists to explore. This peaceful retreat home has large windows looking out onto the pond and towards the town of Westport. You will find a well equipped kitchen, gas BBQ, all the comforts of home, all the tranquility of country living.

Westport Cottage Retreat is ideal for adults seeking a quiet, relaxing time in the country. Our preference is for 2 adults although we are happy to discuss your interests and needs.
Westport is located 90 minutes from Ottawa and 50 minutes from Kingston Ontario and is located on the Rideau Canal which was recently recognized as a World Heritage Site. A perfect blend of nature and rural life. You will love it!!

Waterfront: Although not a swimmable waterfront, The Westport Mill Pond is a beautiful bird and fish sanctuary where wildlife abounds. A swimming beach is located on Sand Lake, 5 minutes walk from the cottage.
