Come stay at our one-of-kind, custom-built waterfront home for your next family getaway. Affectionately nicknamed 'Castle Aidan", this year-round family cottage offers over 3,700 sq ft of living space including lower level walk out that sleeps up to 8 guests comfortably. Take in the breathtaking and unobstructed view of beautiful Little Kennisis Lake from the inside (dining room, bedrooms, or loft) or outside (walkout flagstone patio or private master bedroom balcony). Enjoy a game of badminton in the large open backyard overlooking the lake or walk down a set of stairs to over 130 feet of waterfront with deep clean water off the dock great for swimming, fishing or water sports ( paddle board, kayak, canoe, and paddle boat are provided). A public boat launch is located only a few minutes away and the Marina is close by on Kennisis Lake if you wish to rent a watercraft. An entertaining games room with basketball, video game arcade, pool table, poker table and board games along with an outdoor BBQ, indoor wood fireplace and outdoor fire pit (firewood included) are provided for guests . In-floor radiant heating in the games room will keep you cozy during the winter. Bell Fibre high-speed internet provides consisten speeds for streaming your favourite apps on Amazon Fire Stick TVs. A well-stocked kitchen offers a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher, kettle, and coffee makes (regular and Keurig, coffee grinder). You may also find a collection of spices in the cupboard. The water is drinkable as it comes from a drilled artesian well 400 feet underground and undergoes a filtration and reverse osmosis process.
The main level of this cottage is wheelchair friendly with a ramp leading to the front door, Murphy bed, low bathroom sink, and walk-in shower.
NOTE: We provide bed sheets, pillows, blankets/duvets, bath towels, and hand towels for guests. Feel free to bring extra towels for the hot tub or lake.
The Edge is located approximately 2.5 hrs from the GTA. This cottage is best suited for children older than 5 years of age.

| It's a really special place ... everyone had something to do, from lazing on the dock to paddling to shooting pool or just watching the gorgeous sunsets over the lake. The owner was also quick to respond to any questions. We had a wonderful time!

| We enjoyed our one week rental for our family of five. We chose the cottage for its unique design, amenities and for the lake. Upon arrival, we began to explore the property from dock to loft and it kept revealing its character.
The cottage met and exceeded our expectations. It was so nice having everything provided: bedding, towels, firewood, kayak, paddle board, paddle boat, etc.; it meant that we packed a lot less than we normally. Loading and unloading the vehicles was quick and easy with the driveway being next to the cottage.
We enjoyed an open area to play badminton, balconies for enjoying a morning coffee, relaxing in the hot tub, a large dock for all the water activities, and the games room was used every evening or when there was rain. All outdoor spaces have such wonderful views over the lake. All bedrooms were comfortable and it was nice the master bedroom had a full ensuite and balcony.
This was our second time to Little Lake Kennisis / and the larger Lake Kennisis. The local marina has great ice cream, coffee, and other supplies needed throughout the week. The little lake is nice for swimming and is calmer than the big lake; it was nice to have the option of exploring and fishing the both lakes.
Mimi and Mike were amazing hosts and were so quick to respond to any questions we had. Thanks for making our stay a great one!
