Cette maison d'été unique située è West Point, donne sur le magnifique port de mer (Tourism PEI #2100957). Cette jolie maison à deux étages est de 2000 pieds carrés. En fin de journée, vous pouvez jouir du retour au havre des bateaux de pêches, à partir du balcon au deuxième étage de la maison d'été. Le quai de West Point, ainsi que la belle plage sablonneuse sont à 5 minutes de marche de la maison. De plus, un magasin, une boutique de souvenirs et un restaurant y sont aussi accessibles. Le phar populaire de West Point est à 15 minutes de marche le long de la plage et le parc provincial de Cedar Dunes est à proximité de la maison d'été. Construit par un artisan local en 2007, la maison d'été est située sur le site historique Cookhouse où les traditions folkloriques racontent que les pêcheurs mangeaient un repas copieux avant le départ en mer sur le détroit de Northumberland. Le site de la maison d'été appartient à la famille Stewart depuis plusieurs générations. La maison d'été est munie de 3 grandes chambres à coucher ayant des lits à grands format (Queen) ainsi qu'un lit canapé dans la salle de séjour. La maison jouie aussi de six nouveaux appareils ménagers, y inclus une cuisinière électrique, un four à micro-ondes, un réfrigérateur, un lave-vaisselle, une machine à laver et un séchoir à linge. La maison d'été st dotée de planchers en bois francs, d'un système de chauffage électrique ainsi que d'un poêle à bois. L'espace dégagée et ensoleillée de la maison et le grand nombre de fenêtres vous permettra de profiter de l'air frais en provenance de l'oéan et vous offrira un endroit propice au repos et à la détente.
Pendant la saison du homard, vous serez en mesure de marcher les 5 minutes vers le quai pour y acheter des homards frais que les pêcheurs rapportent en fin de journée. Vous serez en mesure de préparer le homard frais, dans de l'eau que vous porterez à ébullition, soit sur la plage derriére la maison d'été ou au 2ième étage sur le balcon où vous pourrez apprécier en même temps, le retour des bateaux de pêches vers le port.
La maison d'été de West Point participe au programme 'The Canada Select Accommodations Rating Program' depuis l'année 2024. La maison d'été fut évaluée selon les lignes directrices du programme de sélction Canadien. Cette évaluation annuelle cherche à maintenir les normes rigoureuses d'excellence visées par ce programme. | We spent 10 days in September 2021. We a great spot if you want to just relax and enjoy the rustic beauty West Point has to offer! The house is spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. We also liked the deck on the upper level of the home to sit out on, have coffee or an evening with a glass of wine. The beach is beautiful for long walks especially early am (to look for shells) or evening sunsets which are incredible. Our small dog accompanied us and he also liked the walks.... Having the restaurant nearby by was a bonus - great spinach dip and seafood. James (owner) was wonderful to deal with and made sure our stay was a a pleasant one. The only issue for us was the internet connection that was too slow or non-existant at times. James did mention that this would not be an issue in the future so we are happy about that (and the only reason we did not give it five stars). We will definately be rebooking the beachhouse in the future. Thanks James!

| First of all - all kudos to James, cottage owner..
Amazing amount of information on the house, island, food - you imagine.
Anything we needed, James was just an email away from it.
This was our first time in PEI and I hope it won't be the last.
House is amazing, spacious, has everything you need, next to the West Point lighthouse, beach and a restaurant.
Internet can be spotty - especially if you have teenagers that just won't let it go. James again was excellent and Bell tech was dispatched to fix it.
We truly enjoyed the stay, biked, drove around the whole island, tasted lots of food, breweries ... every day was an adventure. And that's just the way we like it!
Beaches were great, our favorite was Cavendish. A bit of drive but ... we were on vacation and time was not an issue.
I highly recommend this property for stay.
Bur more than the property itself - it was the owner (James) that made it so much more welcoming and warm.
I hope we meet one day for drinks when in my city.

| We spent a week at the Beach House at the end of July 2020. The home is well equipped and spacious. We lived the lower and upper decks taking advantage of the sun and harbour views. This home provided access to the lighthouse, West Point and it's beautiful beach. Our pups enjoyed it so much. We took some nice coastal drives along the North and south shores. There was sufficient room so that our mother and a friend (both in their 80's) came by and spent a night. They loved the sunset from the upper deck. We both highly recommend this beach house. James and Maggie were both very helpful.

| My wife and I enjoyed a great week at the West Point Beach House. The beach house itself is spacious and comfortable, with a great upper deck overlooking West Point harbour, where we spent a lot of time relaxing. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the beach house contains all the amenities necessary, including decent wi-fi. The area has nice beaches, an interesting harbour and the unique West Point lighthouse is literally next door. A couple hundred yards from the beach house is a nice little restaurant where we enjoyed a great seafood meal, which was a bonus. I also have to say that James, the owner, is great to deal with and genuinely concerned about his guests. He checked in on us by email several times during our stay. I highly recommend this vacation rental; we got a good off-season rate, but even at the full high season rate, West Point Beach house is a great value. Thank you, James.

| The Beach House is a perfect vacation home. The rooms are large and well equipped, beds very comfortable. My wife and I and our 5 year old golden retriever spent the month of June in this quiet oasis. The local fishermen were friendly and helpful in helping us source a full array of shellfish.
James, the owner and Maggie, the manager were available to look after any need. We highly recommend staying here and will want to be back ourselves.
