We are pleased to relay to you that the West Point Lighthouse is celebrating its 150th anniversary during the summer of 2025. The West Point Beach House overlooks beautiful West Point Harbour (Tourism PEI License Number 2100957). The 2000 sq ft two-story house has a 2nd story deck where one can watch the fishing boats return with their 'catch of the day'. The wharf is a 5-minute walk, as is the sandy beach. In addition, there is a store, gift shop and restaurant within a short walk. The iconic West Point Lighthouse is a 15-minute walk along the beach (see Youtube link below in Partnership with Tourism PEI). In addition, the Cedar Dunes Provincial Park is a few minutes walk from the Beach House. Lighthouse Willy's Restaurant is now open at the West Point Harbourside Centre along the wharf - a short walk from the West Point Beach House. Great food, drinks with exceptionally friendly staff. The Beach House was built in 2007 by local craftsmen and is located on the site of the historic 'Cookhouse' where fisherman would eat their hearty breakfasts prior to sailing out upon Northumberland Strait. The site has been part of the Stewart family for many generations. The Beach House has wood floors, new appliances (stove, micro-wave, dishwasher, refrigerator, full washer and dryer), electric heat and split-pump system and a highly functioning wood stove. There are 3 large bedrooms with queen beds and a sofa bed in the entertainment room. The house is light and airy with many windows that let in the sea breeze. There is also a large screen room that encloses the bottom deck that allows comfortable use of the area in the evenings. During scallop or lobster season, guests at the Beach House can literally walk from the front deck to the wharf in 5 minutes and purchase freshly caught lobsters directly from the fisherman as their catch is being hauled up out of the boat and onto the wharf. And you can boil the lobsters back at the Beach House on the bottom deck BBQ while you watch other fishing boats return to the harbour. It doesn't get fresher than that.
West Point Beach House is a 2025 participant of 'The Canada Select Accommodations Rating Program' and our summer rental has been reviewed, inspected and rated per the guidelines of Canada Select (3 1/2 Stars). This is an annual assessment and rating program ensuring that accommodations are maintained and managed per rigorous standards. We, as owners, believe that our best marketing is through 'word of mouth' and we are committed to providing guests with a unique and peaceful setting that can become an annual destination, or one that is part of a longer journey but remains a positive and memorable experience.
A wonderful setting for a relaxing and peaceful stay 'on the Island'.

| We spent 10 days in September 2021. We a great spot if you want to just relax and enjoy the rustic beauty West Point has to offer! The house is spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. We also liked the deck on the upper level of the home to sit out on, have coffee or an evening with a glass of wine. The beach is beautiful for long walks especially early am (to look for shells) or evening sunsets which are incredible. Our small dog accompanied us and he also liked the walks.... Having the restaurant nearby by was a bonus - great spinach dip and seafood. James (owner) was wonderful to deal with and made sure our stay was a a pleasant one. The only issue for us was the internet connection that was too slow or non-existant at times. James did mention that this would not be an issue in the future so we are happy about that (and the only reason we did not give it five stars). We will definately be rebooking the beachhouse in the future. Thanks James!

| First of all - all kudos to James, cottage owner.. Amazing amount of information on the house, island, food - you imagine. Anything we needed, James was just an email away from it.
This was our first time in PEI and I hope it won't be the last.
House is amazing, spacious, has everything you need, next to the West Point lighthouse, beach and a restaurant. Internet can be spotty - especially if you have teenagers that just won't let it go. James again was excellent and Bell tech was dispatched to fix it. We truly enjoyed the stay, biked, drove around the whole island, tasted lots of food, breweries ... every day was an adventure. And that's just the way we like it! Beaches were great, our favorite was Cavendish. A bit of drive but ... we were on vacation and time was not an issue.
I highly recommend this property for stay. Bur more than the property itself - it was the owner (James) that made it so much more welcoming and warm. I hope we meet one day for drinks when in my city.

| We spent a week at the Beach House at the end of July 2020. The home is well equipped and spacious. We lived the lower and upper decks taking advantage of the sun and harbour views. This home provided access to the lighthouse, West Point and it's beautiful beach. Our pups enjoyed it so much. We took some nice coastal drives along the North and south shores. There was sufficient room so that our mother and a friend (both in their 80's) came by and spent a night. They loved the sunset from the upper deck. We both highly recommend this beach house. James and Maggie were both very helpful.
Thanks so much for a great stay Mark and Leanne

| My wife and I enjoyed a great week at the West Point Beach House. The beach house itself is spacious and comfortable, with a great upper deck overlooking West Point harbour, where we spent a lot of time relaxing. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the beach house contains all the amenities necessary, including decent wi-fi. The area has nice beaches, an interesting harbour and the unique West Point lighthouse is literally next door. A couple hundred yards from the beach house is a nice little restaurant where we enjoyed a great seafood meal, which was a bonus. I also have to say that James, the owner, is great to deal with and genuinely concerned about his guests. He checked in on us by email several times during our stay. I highly recommend this vacation rental; we got a good off-season rate, but even at the full high season rate, West Point Beach house is a great value. Thank you, James.

Owner response: Jon: Thanks so much for the kind words. It was great to have you and your wife as our guests. There was an element of 'normalcy' with your arrival during these challenging times. We hope to see you again. Be happy and be safe. J

| The Beach House is a perfect vacation home. The rooms are large and well equipped, beds very comfortable. My wife and I and our 5 year old golden retriever spent the month of June in this quiet oasis. The local fishermen were friendly and helpful in helping us source a full array of shellfish. James, the owner and Maggie, the manager were available to look after any need. We highly recommend staying here and will want to be back ourselves.

Owner response: Thanks so much for the kind words. It was a pleasure to have you and your family be our guests during the month of June. We remain impressed with your ability to purchase the assortment of seafood that you did. Past generations of Stewart's who lived and fished out of West Point would be thrilled to know that the location of the original Cook House, where the Beach House stands, brings so much joy to folks today. And thanks as always Maggie. James
