We are pleased to relay to you that the West Point Lighthouse is celebrating its 150th anniversary during the summer of 2025. The West Point Beach House overlooks beautiful West Point Harbour (Tourism PEI License Number 2100957). The 2000 sq ft two-story house has a 2nd story deck where one can watch the fishing boats return with their 'catch of the day'. The wharf is a 5-minute walk, as is the sandy beach. In addition, there is a store, gift shop and restaurant within a short walk. The iconic West Point Lighthouse is a 15-minute walk along the beach (see Youtube link below in Partnership with Tourism PEI). In addition, the Cedar Dunes Provincial Park is a few minutes walk from the Beach House. Lighthouse Willy's Restaurant is now open at the West Point Harbourside Centre along the wharf - a short walk from the West Point Beach House. Great food, drinks with exceptionally friendly staff. The Beach House was built in 2007 by local craftsmen and is located on the site of the historic 'Cookhouse' where fisherman would eat their hearty breakfasts prior to sailing out upon Northumberland Strait. The site has been part of the Stewart family for many generations. The Beach House has wood floors, new appliances (stove, micro-wave, dishwasher, refrigerator, full washer and dryer), electric heat and split-pump system and a highly functioning wood stove. There are 3 large bedrooms with queen beds and a sofa bed in the entertainment room. The house is light and airy with many windows that let in the sea breeze. There is also a large screen room that encloses the bottom deck that allows comfortable use of the area in the evenings. During scallop or lobster season, guests at the Beach House can literally walk from the front deck to the wharf in 5 minutes and purchase freshly caught lobsters directly from the fisherman as their catch is being hauled up out of the boat and onto the wharf. And you can boil the lobsters back at the Beach House on the bottom deck BBQ while you watch other fishing boats return to the harbour. It doesn't get fresher than that.
West Point Beach House is a 2025 participant of 'The Canada Select Accommodations Rating Program' and our summer rental has been reviewed, inspected and rated per the guidelines of Canada Select (3 1/2 Stars). This is an annual assessment and rating program ensuring that accommodations are maintained and managed per rigorous standards. We, as owners, believe that our best marketing is through 'word of mouth' and we are committed to providing guests with a unique and peaceful setting that can become an annual destination, or one that is part of a longer journey but remains a positive and memorable experience.
A wonderful setting for a relaxing and peaceful stay 'on the Island'.

| We have stayed here multiple times and will be back. The home is spacious, clean and private. They keep adding improvements every time we stay. They now have a/c and a screened in porch. 3 large bedrooms, one with a deck off it, 2 large bathrooms and a spacious kitchen. Very clean and comfortable and a great locations - a craft shop and a restaurant within a few steps, ocean and Harbour view from upstairs, a short walk to the beach, a short drive to West Point Lighthouse (or a good walk). Close to O'Leary for grocery shopping. Lovely spot and reasonable rates.

Owner response: Thank you Kim for the very positive and detailed Review. it has been a pleasure having you and your family members being our guests at the West Point Beach House. And I can't express enough how appreciative we are to have returning guests who choose our humble house overlooking Northumberland Strait over so many other options. Have a wonderful summer / autumn and we look forward to seeing you in the future.

| What a beautiful location! The home was perfect with a big kitchen and lovely screened in porch. The area is quiet and tucked away off the road. We had a nice supper at the restaurant and popped into the craft shop where we bought some delicious cookies and tea biscuits. The beach was gorgeous! Two full bathrooms and large bedrooms give you all the space you need!

Merci.

| We have rented the West Point Beach House several times. Each stay is better than the previous one. The owners have thought of everything; air conditioned bedrooms; enhanced wifi; new appliances. The cottage is dotted with images of local history. There is a nice, quiet beach within 10 minutes walking distance from the cottage. The drive up the coastal highway is breathtaking. The local communities have everything one needs during their stay. Within an hour away are the national seashore parks and a thriving artist community. I hope to return next summer myself.
