| My husband and myself as well as another couple just returned from a week at this lovely cottage. We initially chose this as a one level easy access place for a person with a mobility issues who uses a walker. It was much better than we had hoped for, and I know this is important for many travellers.
Southgate is exceptionally well laid out, roomy, and very clean.
Beds and linens were quite comfortable as well as the furniture throughout.
This cottage is extremely well stocked, everything imaginable was provided.
Plenty of room outside as well - we enjoyed the patio, the large yard for games, and the hot tub a definate bonus on the chilly nights.
The area around Southgate is very friendly and Weslemkoon Marina staff were amazing- helpful and knowledgeable.
Brad is a fantastic host with immediate response to every question. He truly created a beautifully decorated home away from home that we would love to visit again.

| We spent a fabulous week at this wonderful cottage which was spotless and had everything we needed and more. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need and the family room was a great place to hang out in the evenings.
The property is beautiful and the lawn is perfect for playing games. The waterfront is weedy and not great for swimming but it was fun taking the canoe and kayaks out to explore the lake. Fishing is great too.
The owner Brad is fantastic and made the rental process a great experience.

| I am not one for submitting reviews however I believe this rental clearly
deserves one.
We rented for 2 weeks and were amazed at the attention to detail which was
provided. The kitchen was supplied with so much more than what you would expect
from a cottage location. On a rainy day we were able to bake carrot cake and make rice crispy squares. On other days we were able to prepare a meal of ribs starting in the large crock pot which even included a cook book. We did bring a lot of things which were not required as already provided. The BBQ hooked up to inside propane meant we never had to worry about running out of fuel, which we have done on a few occasions at home.
The hot tub was a wonderful addition, the wood provided for the fire pit along with kindling and bucket for water to put out the fire at end of night made it so easy to enjoy.
There is a cart outside at the end of walkway for use to load up your luggage, I have to say this put a smile on our faces.
The lake itself is beautiful however you would be better off to have a boat if you wish to enjoy it at its fullest. We did use the kayaks quite a few times but did not venture into the canoe.
The property is perfect if you have children as it is very large with lots of room to play. However there is not really a beach area for them to play at. Limited on words here so last ones are do not hesitate to rent, the owners are exceptional.

| I've been going to Weslemkoon since the mid 1950's when the road in was just a logging trail.My Dad had 4 cabins built for his family(very rustic) but Southgate is spectacular.Our host Brad provided everything one would want.If one is looking for a place to just sit back and relax this is it.Beautiful rolling lawn to the waterfront with a hammock to lie in,a fire pit to relax by in the evening and best of all for an old curmudgeon like myself ,a hot tub.Inside there is a games room with a huge TV. For a further description use your imagination--its fabulous.

| We had a wonderful stay at Southgate. The cottage was very clean and all ready for us. We truly enjoyed the big open living area. Our kids had fun playing in the backyard with the provided toys and games. We also made use of the canoe and kayaks. They have everything you need. Just bring your food and clothes. If you have a boat or can rent one, I recommend it. The lake is big and we had alot of fun exploring it. The lake is also great for fishing. We are total amateurs and caught lots of fishing using worms purchased from the local marina.
Highly recommend staying here. Brad the owner was very responsive and helpful.
