This family cottage is available to select renters looking for the Weslemkoon Lake experience. Having undergone an extensive upgrade, the open concept Great Room is centered around an exquisite, granite fireplace that reaches to the cedar-covered, cathedral ceiling. The updated, well-stocked kitchen and dining area share this space and provide direct views over the pine-dotted lawn to beautiful Weslemkoon Lake. Directly outside this wonderful space is an outdoor sitting area, including a teak dining set, BBQ and comfortable, chair and sofa lounge. An outdoor hot tub awaits. The sleeping wing includes bedrooms that are comfortable, spacious and include King, Queen and two single beds. The Family Room offers accommodation on a pullout sofa. This large Family Room is in a separate wing and contains television, games, puzzles and quiet reading spaces. A large picture window frames the lake. There's a well-appointed bathroom at each end of the cottage. Central air conditioning has recently been added for your comfort. Covering 2400 square feet, there's plenty of room for a fun-filled getaway to one of Ontario's hidden gems. Enjoy the water with our selection of canoes and kayaks. Fish from the dock or sit and watch the boats go by. Feel free to use our boat port as a place to keep your boat during your stay. Our waterfront is more suitable for splashing than swimming. Having your own boat is an ideal way to explore this big, beautiful lake.
Weslemkoon is a jewel. The lake is approximately 12 miles long and features all the beauty the Canadian Shield has to offer. Our cottage is located at the south end of the lake and is one of a few places that can be accessed by car. Most cottages here are accessed by boat. The lake is known for superb bass fishing with tales of 7 pounders. There's also a healthy lake trout population. Weslemkoon cottages are well supplied by local marinas, as well as easy access to the nearby towns of Bancroft and Madoc.

| We were a party of 4 adults and 2 kids (6 and 4) and spent one week at this cottage.
1. Cleanliness and overall look of the space: Excellent. The house looks very nice; plenty of space, with all the amenities one could wish for. 2. Comfort: Good.
Kitchen: Wonderful, modern, spacious, very well appointed.
Sleep: The mattresses in all three rooms are soft, a bit difficult for older bones.
Bathrooms: One large, 3-piece bathroom, with a walk-in shower equipped with a rain shower head, shared by the 3 bedrooms. One small, 3-piece bathroom, with a walk-in shower equipped with a handheld shower head, close to the entrance, at the other end of the house. 3. Outdoor space and lake access: Very good. Very nice patio, excellent for dining al fresco. Wonderful, very large, waterfront backyard. Outdoor games, hammock, hot tub, kayaks, life vests. Waterfront is not great for swimming, but the covered dock was perfect for our inflatable boat. Fishing was great too. 4. Location: Good . The cottage is located between two marinas, next to a public quay accessible to various types of boats; unfortunately, that meant quite a bit of noise and strong smell of burnt fuel. It is a secluded location in terms of the distance to grocery stores and standard urban amenities, but this is not an inconvenience if you plan ahead.
5 Communication with owner: Excellent Brad is a fantastic host. Thank you Brad for installing the handheld shower for us and for the boat tour of the lake!

| My family recently rented this beautiful cottage & we had a marvellous time- Southgate has everything you could possibly wish for inside & out.It is very clean roomy & comfortable. My family loved our week we spent there & my Granddaughter caught her very first fish! Thankyou Brad for our great Family holiday!

| My family and I recently rented this cottage and I have to say we were very impressed. Brad was a fantastic host and instantly addressed any issues we came across (which were very minor). This cottage is very well equipped and has everything you can think of. We enjoyed everything there was to offer from all the games, fishing, paddle boarding , kayaking', lake tour on a pontoon boat at the marina and relaxing in the hammocks. We would definitely rent again in the future.

| My husband and myself as well as another couple just returned from a week at this lovely cottage. We initially chose this as a one level easy access place for a person with a mobility issues who uses a walker. It was much better than we had hoped for, and I know this is important for many travellers.
Southgate is exceptionally well laid out, roomy, and very clean.
Beds and linens were quite comfortable as well as the furniture throughout.
This cottage is extremely well stocked, everything imaginable was provided.
Plenty of room outside as well - we enjoyed the patio, the large yard for games, and the hot tub a definate bonus on the chilly nights.
The area around Southgate is very friendly and Weslemkoon Marina staff were amazing- helpful and knowledgeable.
Brad is a fantastic host with immediate response to every question. He truly created a beautifully decorated home away from home that we would love to visit again.

| We spent a fabulous week at this wonderful cottage which was spotless and had everything we needed and more. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need and the family room was a great place to hang out in the evenings.
The property is beautiful and the lawn is perfect for playing games. The waterfront is weedy and not great for swimming but it was fun taking the canoe and kayaks out to explore the lake. Fishing is great too.
The owner Brad is fantastic and made the rental process a great experience.
