| We honestly couldn't have asked for a better cottage getaway. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had completely stepped away from the noise and busyness of everyday life. The peace, privacy and seclusion of this property are truly something special.
The lake itself is absolutely beautiful. Knowing that it's spring-fed water makes taking a dip even more enjoyable—the water is incredibly clean, refreshing and peaceful. Whether you're swimming, sitting by the water with a coffee, or simply listening to the sounds of nature, it's the kind of place where you naturally slow down and breathe a little deeper.
What we loved most was the quiet. No traffic, no crowds, no distractions—just the trees, the inviting water, an abundance of wildlife and the occasional loon in the distance. It genuinely felt like our own little piece of paradise.
The cottage itself has everything you need to settle in and stay awhile. It's comfortable, welcoming and has that perfect cottage feeling without taking away from the natural beauty surrounding you. We spent our days enjoying the lake and our evenings relaxing by the fire
If you're looking for a place to disconnect from the world, put your phone down, reset and simply enjoy being together, this is it. It's not just a cottage rental—it's an experience.
We left feeling relaxed, recharged and already wishing we could have stayed longer. We will absolutely be back! Thank you for sharing such a

| Rustic cottage on a small, private lake. Good location. Affordable. Great communication.
Private and peaceful, aside from a few ATVs (mostly weekends). Good swimming. Being a small lake, the kids could tour on kayaks or tubes without worry, while we watched from the dock. The kids had fun catching big minnows off the dock, and crayfish among the rocks. No luck with trout, though also not the best time of year. A short drive to the causeway on Calabogie Lake and we caught tons of sunfish, bass, catfish and pike.
The cottage is well stocked with kitchen supplies, and having a full sized fridge, freezer, and stove was great. The hot/cold water dispenser is great too. Shower is a bit tight, but works well. We had a full house and there were never any water issues.
There is no WiFi, laundry, or garbage disposal. Extra conveniences for a cottage in my opinion, though worth noting for those who need wifi for work or school, and to plan on making a trip or two to the dump. Reception was fine for me, so no communication issues (Koodo). The stairs to the lake, although I was fine with them, may be tricky to navigate for some people (i.e. my elderly parents). Fortunately, the owner plans on building new ones, as well as upgrading the fire pit.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, and recommend this place, but a few upgrades would make this a 5/5!

| We had an amazing stay at this charming cottage! We appreciated the hospitality by the owners, who made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The cottage itself was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with all the essentials – plus a few thoughtful extras. The setting is truly special – tucked away on a peaceful private lake, surrounded by nature. We loved waking up to the sound of birds and sipping coffee on the dock while taking in the serene water views. The lake was clean and quiet, perfect for swimming, kayaking, and just relaxing on the new dock. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. It's the ideal spot to unplug and unwind. One of the highlights was the nearby hiking – there were several scenic trails just minutes away, ranging from gentle walks to more adventurous routes with stunning views. It was the perfect way to spend our afternoons before cooling off in the lake. Despite the secluded feel, we were pleasantly surprised at how convenient everything was. Groceries, local shops, and great little restaurants were all within a short drive. We had everything we needed without sacrificing the peace and quiet. This cottage is the perfect mix of relaxation, nature, and convenience. Highly recommended – we're already looking forward to coming back!

| What a beautiful piece of paradise this cottage truly is. Nestled in absolute privacy, it offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The stunning beauty surrounding the cottage is simply breathtaking. With a calm and serene lake on one side and a dense forest on another creates a lush, green backdrop that adds to the sense of seclusion and tranquility. There are only three cottages on the lake, ensuring a very exclusive and private experience. The owner of the cottage deserves special mention. They were exceptionally quick to respond to any inquiries and were always helpful with any requests we had. Whether you're looking to reconnect with nature, enjoy some quiet time, or simply relax in beautiful surroundings, this cottage offers it all. Highly recommended for anyone in search of a serene and idyllic retreat. Surely going back again.

| A last minute decision for a quiet getaway for the Canada Day long weekend! A very rustic cottage approx 15-20 min from Calabogie. We unfortunately had a fire ban so could not take part in any campfire activities. There was a lot of motorbike, ATV action most of our time there - this could be because of the long weekend or it seems there is a club or trails near by. I would not rent again there because of this. The neighbours across the lake left their dog out for most of one day who barked the entire day - poor guy - not the quiet experience we wanted - however we do feel like we got what we paid for.
Positives: - kayaks - screened in porch - small air- conditioner; fans provided - quick responses to questions by renters; even offered us a late check out without us asking!
Opportunities: - clearer more concise communication when booking; found it hard to determine the pricing and other details was very confusing - I have heard of having to bring linens/towels before and it was part of the rental agreement but personally I'd rather not have to do that (more of a learning for me going forward) - provide paper towels, toilet paper - cottage needs a good dust/clean in areas such as picture frames, windows, ledges - beds need upgrading, very hard - suggest removing antique stove in porch would give MUCH more room out there; and perhaps patio furniture (ie chairs, love seat) - update listing to say the wood stove is not working and there is no WIFI
