| What a beautiful piece of paradise this cottage truly is. Nestled in absolute privacy, it offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The stunning beauty surrounding the cottage is simply breathtaking. With a calm and serene lake on one side and a dense forest on another creates a lush, green backdrop that adds to the sense of seclusion and tranquility. There are only three cottages on the lake, ensuring a very exclusive and private experience. The owner of the cottage deserves special mention. They were exceptionally quick to respond to any inquiries and were always helpful with any requests we had. Whether you're looking to reconnect with nature, enjoy some quiet time, or simply relax in beautiful surroundings, this cottage offers it all. Highly recommended for anyone in search of a serene and idyllic retreat. Surely going back again.

| A last minute decision for a quiet getaway for the Canada Day long weekend! A very rustic cottage approx 15-20 min from Calabogie. We unfortunately had a fire ban so could not take part in any campfire activities. There was a lot of motorbike, ATV action most of our time there - this could be because of the long weekend or it seems there is a club or trails near by. I would not rent again there because of this. The neighbours across the lake left their dog out for most of one day who barked the entire day - poor guy - not the quiet experience we wanted - however we do feel like we got what we paid for.
Positives: - kayaks - screened in porch - small air- conditioner; fans provided - quick responses to questions by renters; even offered us a late check out without us asking!
Opportunities: - clearer more concise communication when booking; found it hard to determine the pricing and other details was very confusing - I have heard of having to bring linens/towels before and it was part of the rental agreement but personally I'd rather not have to do that (more of a learning for me going forward) - provide paper towels, toilet paper - cottage needs a good dust/clean in areas such as picture frames, windows, ledges - beds need upgrading, very hard - suggest removing antique stove in porch would give MUCH more room out there; and perhaps patio furniture (ie chairs, love seat) - update listing to say the wood stove is not working and there is no WIFI

| Our stay at Tyler's cottage was amazing! This extremely private property boasts beautiful views of quaint Barry Lake, surrounded by nature and tranquility. With only two other cottages situated on this lake this location is perfect for small families, or for a quiet couples getaway. We loved lounging on the brand new dock in the sun, listening to the birds chirp around, and the trees rustle in the wind - it was so relaxing. The water is clean and clear, and has a gorgeous green hue to it due to it being on limestone. We brought our own SUP boards to explore the lake, but the cottage also comes with a canoe for guests to use. Lovely little firepit close to the house for warming up at night & making smores together. Brand new BBQ provided, any and every kitchen tool/dish/cup you could ever need. Coffee is provided along side an automatic coffee maker. Floor AC unit on the main level saved us from some uncomfortable humid nights. The main living area of the cottage was so nice to have meals together in, or to just lounge around on the couch and watch the water through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Only a 15 minute drive into the town of Calabogie where we enjoyed meals at On the Rocks & Oh-El-la cafe. Small convenience store stocked with snacks and a few toiletries incase you forget something is also right beside an LCBO close to the main strip. Everyone we met during our stay, both on the lake and in town were so incredibly welcoming and friendly. We very much enjoyed our week!

| What a fantastic cottage! Our family had a wonderful week stay. We swam, canoed, and floated on the beautiful lake and the kids loved jumping off the new dock. We were surrounded by private, quite nature and saw a number of animals including snakes, crawfish, hummingbirds, turkeys, owls, blue jays, and our good friend "Larry the Loon". We also had a beautiful night laying on the dock looking up at the picturesque night sky and counting a number of shooting stars. The cabin was charming and the AC was needed for the humid week that we were there. The owners were quick to respond to any of our questions. It was also very close to a number of places we visited: Ottawa, Renfrew, Eganville Caves, Burnstown and of course Calabogie (if you can, get the Otterman's Cinnamon infused Maple Syrup mmm. at a local shop). I would recommend this cottage to everyone!

| A very nice cottage. The cottage was very clean when we arrived. The owners are very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. There is a beautiful new dock with a swim ladder attached. Don't be concerned when you see the colour of the lake. It's a beautiful shade of green- not algae it's due to limestone. When you look into the water it is very clear. It is a small lake so we took our kayaks and paddled on the huge Calabogie lake which is about 15 minutes away. There is a canoe there to use on the lake. This is a very peaceful spot. If you are looking for quiet this is the place. There is a new air conditioner in the cottage which works well and was definitely needed the week we were there. The owners are planning more upgrades which will make it even better. I would rent here again. We are a family of 5 adults(only 4 stayed and one visited during day).
