| We enjoyed our experience at this cottage very much. The cottage owners were very helpful and responsive. It is a true cottage, not a house on a lake. There are many unique experiences to be had, including a wood-fired hot tub and pizza oven, and an outdoor shower. The lake is as good as a lake can be - with a shallow, sandy entry and no weeds. Another highlight was the cozy screened-in porch with a variety of couches and chairs. The satellite Internet was sufficient for checking emails and watching Netflix, but there was a lag during video conference calls, so maybe best to not work too much when here! Kitchen is fully-equipped. The cottage is about 8km from the highway. A good butcher is in the town nearest the cottage and a decent grocery store in the next town, about 25 minutes away. We had a very relaxing time here.

| What an incredible place to go for an escape! Gorgeous cottage, a lovely lake, and a great view. John and Nancy have a beautiful cottage that combines all the modern luxuries (outdoor pizza oven, TV with Netflix, beautiful modern kitchen) with a rustic northern Ontario feel (including stone indoor fireplace, log cabin interior, and outdoor fire pit). It's a rustic off the grid experience with full luxury amenities. The lake is also gorgeous and the absolute stillness and solitude at their cottage was incredible. You won't find a better place to get away from the commotion of the city. As hosts they were also excellent to deal with. Very fast to reply to emails, very accommodating, and they even had the campfire wood pre-packed in the fireplace so all we had to do was light it on arrival! Cannot recommend highly enough. Will be booking my stay for next summer the day I have my work schedule finalized. Thanks for a lovely stay!
