Shabomeka Lake Custom Log Cottage

Welcome to our family cottage. This custom log home is situated on the pristine Shabomeka Lake in North Frontenac near Cloyne Ontario. Our lake is part of the Bon Echo Provincial Park canoe route, day trips to the park are a must or just canoe over.
Your family will enjoy all that this lakeside home has to offer, watch the loons, fish for bass or lake trout or just enjoy the amazing sunsets. The waterfront is sand bottom with a spacious dock and there is also a small public beach with shallow entry for little ones just minutes down the country road. Our home offers four bedrooms plus a bedroom in the basement which will comfortably sleep 11 guests.
The screened porch is your living room surrounded by trees and an elevated view of the lake. We offer all of the modern conveniences but still manage to give you that country lodge feel. Gourmet six burner gas stove, outdoor wood fired pizza oven and propane barbecue will cover all your cooking needs. One and a half baths plus an outdoor shower. Of course no cottage visit would be complete without a campfire and don't forget the s'mores.
We have also added a wood fired hot tub for those cooler evenings. A moderate amount of wood is provided for your enjoyment for use in the fire pit and indoor fireplace, however with the addition of the pizza oven and hot tub there is a $100 surcharge for wood. There are 3 kayaks (one child sized) for your use to get out and explore this beautiful lake. We do have a barrel boat barge at an extra charge. The lake offers a free public boat launch and we have ample boat trailer storage if you choose to bring your own. Right out our door is access to a a large mountain bike/hiking trail system. This is not a party destination, but a perfect getaway for couples and families.
