| Very clean . Cottage stocked with all amenities.
Cabins are cute and have both heater, ac, own bathroom with shower and kitchenette.
All was excellent.
Great area . On a beautiful lake with dock .
Will definitely rent again as it was great for my large family.

| Wonderful cottage for a big family. The outdoor area was great to play, eat, enjoy a campfire and swim. The lake is quite shallow at the dock so it is great for children and adults alike.

| Our family very much enjoyed out stay at Golden Lake cottages in Deacon. The main cottage had everything that was needed to cook all our meals
There was a nice long table and chairs so we could all sit together for meals that was wonderful.
The 3 cabins were great for our older grandchildren they loved having a cabin to themselves.
The only caution to keep in mind is that the cottage and cabins are extremely close to the road so if you are a light sleeper that can be a challenge. Also if you have young children will need to keep a close eye on them ..
We had a great week as a family.

Usually there aren't many cars that pass through, however there is currently construction on Highway 60 that may be contributing to some unwanted traffic. | The cottage was lovely, lots of room for many guests between the main cottage and the three cabins. The kitchen in the main cottage was very modern and had everything we needed and more. The lake was warm and shallow, ideal for our young children. Our kids also loved the sandy beach. The only consideration that I'd share is that the property is right on highway 60 so you can hear the cars depending on the amount of traffic. The cars didn't detract from our stay though, and we would definitely rent the cottage again as it's perfect for a large group!

| Our family had a very enjoyable time at this cottage.
The spacious area for play was great, as was the volleyball court. The home offered plenty of sleeping areas and a nice family dining table that accommodated everyone to sit together. The lake view was pretty, the swimming area was perfect for small kids as this lake is very shallow, with a sandy bottom. The kitchen was very spacious and allowed for us to put away all our food items for the week easily. The fire pit was awesome, and the neighbour who delivers the firewood was great!
Things you should know:
-the cottage is situated right on a major highway, so it is very loud due to passing transport trucks 24 hours a day - we did not feel comfortable going for any walks off the property with our children as the road was too busy and dangerous to cross or walk along.
-the neighbouring public beach is quite busy and has many highway travellers stopping by
-garbage dump is quite close, you need to bring cash only, $2 per bag
- if you are planning to bring your own boat, there is a launch near the bridge on the south end of the lake, though you must travel under the bridge which is tight. It is also advisable that your boat is small (or accessible for shallow water). The depth is no more than 5 feet nearly 100 feet from shore. It is also difficult to moor as the long side of the dock is on an angle towards the neighbouring dock and you must be able to slide in past their boats at an awkward and tight approach.
