| Our family of 4 had a lovely stay at the Boathouse cottage at the end of August 2026. Highlights included sunrise walks on the beach and proximity to Point Pelee national park as well as Pelee Island for sightseeing. Nearby Hillman Marsh was nice to visit for butterfly and bird sightings. The canal near the cottage also had a resident heron and many turtles. For stargazers, the comfy Muskoka chairs on the deck facing the lake are ideal on a clear night.
The cottage itself was very clean and had plenty of space for our family. The advertised appliances worked well, kitchen indeed well-equipped and beds quite comfortable. We did not make use of the hot tub but were able to swim in the lake. If you have water shoes, as mentioned in other reviews, those can be helpful to go into the water over the pebbles. Our 1 minor hiccup was that we thought it was a pet-free place, but it turns out the owners have a dog and our son's allergies confirmed it soon after arrival, this was fortunately solved with a couple of over the counter allergy tablets. Leamington is a very short drive away and there are at least a couple of great farm stores for fresh fruits and a couple of wonderful bakeries nearby. Our sons who can't seem to go a week without their workouts were able to find a good gym a short drive away. They also enjoyed the retro video game console!

| My high school friends and I generally get together and rent a cottage for a weekend once a year and this one is definitely one of the best we've been to. The beds were comfy, and we were able to play games and karaoke in the very accommodating living room. Loved how the LR, dining area and kitchen all connected so we could still all be together! The kitchen had everything we needed, there were so many games to play, the towels were plentiful and even the hand soap smelled good. Yes, that's a thing. It's the small details that add up to make or break a place and this place rocked. We took full advantage of the hot tub and loved It's convenient location. Had the weather been nicer we would have enjoyed the beach and the kayaks - maybe next time. The communication between myself and the owner was great, they were on top of everything and made everything super clear about what to expect, how to find things and what to do at checkout. Thank you for hosting us, we made some of the best memories in your beautiful place!

| There were five of us in our party and we rented The Boathouse to celebrate the 50th birthdays of 4 of us. The Boathouse not only met our expectations, but thoroughly exceeded them! All interactions with our hosts were handled promptly and with great care. I can't say enough good things about our experience! The common area of the kitchen, dining table, and living room were greatly enjoyed by all for cooking meals (A very well-stocked kitchen!), playng games, and watching sports! The outdoor hot tub was also a highlight for our party.
In addition, the sleeping accommodations were excellent! Everyone had a comfortable bed to sleep in as well.
I think we have developed a new annual tradition and can't wait to come back again!

| We enjoyed our time at The Boathouse. The cottage was clean, well-equipped, and roomy enough to hold seven of us comfortably. Our grandchildren enjoyed the kayaks and swimming in the lake. They also, along with some of the adults, made good use of the hot tub. The national park is not far away and we visited the southern tip of Canada twice during our stay. Our hosts responded quickly to our questions.

| From beginning to end, our stay at The Boathouse Cottage was wonderful. The cottage had all the amenities we needed, and the place was clean and nicely furnished. There was lots of room inside, and outside was big enough for both the big and small kids to play games and run about. We had lots of fun on the beach, and visited Point Pelee a couple of times, as it is only a ten minute drive away. The hot tub was a nice bonus. Our time there exceeded our expectations.
