Another beautiful stay at this amazing beautiful relaxing cottage .Third year for us and it just keeps getting better and making wonderful memories.Thank you Allison and Jules for responding quickly and for being so accommodating. We will be back !!

We enjoyed a week in this beautiful cottage with 3 families. The beach was beautiful with crystal clear water. I recommend bringing water shoes as the first 30 or so feet is composed of small smooth rocks that are hard on unprotected feet. The cottage was vey well stocked and we wanted for nothing. Leamington is very close by and has absolutely everything a person would want.

Owner response:
Thank you, James, and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay! The beach can indeed change week on week? Two weeks ago it was beautifully sandy, and this week it does have some stones! So, probably a good idea to bring water shoes! But? The water is always beautiful!

The Boathouse is a very bright, cheerful and well-equipped cottage. Our family enjoyed being on Lake Erie, seeing the various birds and the changing beach depending on the current. We took advantage of the proximity of The Boathouse to go to Point Pelee National Park as well as the ferry to Pelee Island, both great day trips. Our family also enjoyed the use of the bikes and kayaks supplied by The Boathouse. Our family would certainly recommend The Boathouse as a cottage getaway!

We booked The Boathouse this past February as it looked beautiful and I in particular was very excited that this cottage had a hot tub! We thoroughly enjoyed spending a week's vacation there. The Boathouse was very nice, the beds were comfortable, all the instructions were easy to follow and understand. We had a very enjoyable getaway with a great view of Lake Erie.
The town of Leamington was larger than expected with a good variety of restaurants that we explored. The amphitheatre was quite large and beautiful. We enjoyed a live country music concert in the park. Jules and Allison were great hosts, very pleasant and helpful. Jules in particular went out of his way to assist me with questions I had pertaining to short-term vacation rentals.

Our three months at the cottage were wonderful. It is even more attractive than the photos especially when you consider getting both sunrises and sunsets. The photos don't show how comfortable the beds and pillows are but we both had the best sleeps that we've had in ages; in fact, I bought the same brand of pillows when we returned home.

The kitchen is well stocked with tumblers, dishes, and cutlery - more than enough of these things for 8 people to have 2 meals before the dishwasher would need to be put through. The cookware is good quality and really nice to use. The bath linens are also plentiful and they are very good quality.

We thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace during our stay. It definitely took the chill off the air in the winter nights. The hot tub was similarly welcome.

Jules and Allison are excellent hosts. All communication is promptly responded to and they are incredibly pleasant. We definitely recommend staying at The Boathouse!
