| Excellent little cottage for a nice weekend getaway with your family or in our case, together with another family. Externally it is well equipped for kayaking, fishing, biking. The canal is absolutely fabulous for fishing. The kids love catching panfish off the pier and there are some true monsters in there as well, 3 of which broke our 8 lb line. Internally it is also well stocked with everything you'll need in the kitchen, and entertainment. Jules is super pleasant to deal with, very responsive to our questions. The only thing keeping this from a max score is the one single bathroom, which makes it a bit inconvenient hosting two families, but we made it work.

Owner response: Thank you Monteil - we're glad you enjoyed your stay (although sorry for the broken fishing lines - there are some good size fish!) For anybody reading the review - there is indeed one full bathroom with a shower/tub combo, but the largest bedroom also has a small ensuite with toilet / sink. Just to make sure it's understood!

| My husband and I rented The Boathouse on a family's recommendation, and we're so glad we did. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge. We spent the week exploring the area, visiting Point Pelle National Park and Hillman Marsh, enjoying peaceful sunrises over the lake and stunning sunsets over the channel. The included kayaks were a bonus and made it easy to enjoy the water.
The cottage itself is spotless, airy, and thoughtfully equipped?truly a home away from home. And the bed Incredibly comfortable! Jules was an exceptional host?friendly, responsive, and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet escape in a beautiful setting.

| Me and my husband stayed here for our honeymoon over Christmas. We loved it. From The beginning of booking with Jules and Allison was easy and were available to answer all questions and concerns The cottage was everything we had dreamt it would be. It was clean, well kept, cozy and a view to die for. The sunrises were breath taking. We played games by the warm fire place. Snuggled in to watch movies on the Roku smart tv, walk on the beach, while we collected rocks.
Book your next cottage vacation at the Boathouse Cottage, you won't regret.

| We enjoyed a week in this beautiful cottage with 3 families. The beach was beautiful with crystal clear water. I recommend bringing water shoes as the first 30 or so feet is composed of small smooth rocks that are hard on unprotected feet. The cottage was vey well stocked and we wanted for nothing. Leamington is very close by and has absolutely everything a person would want.

Owner response: Thank you, James, and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay! The beach can indeed change week on week? Two weeks ago it was beautifully sandy, and this week it does have some stones! So, probably a good idea to bring water shoes! But? The water is always beautiful!
