| We just spent 2 relaxing nights at the Bedford cottage and enjoyed every minute of it. Devils Lake is pristine, deep and reminiscent of the Muskokas, without the drive. Only 30 minutes from Kingston, if you need to get back to town for any reason, it's easy to do. We were able to unplug for 48 hours, enjoy good food (fresh strawberries and greens from Hugh's garden), a million dollar sunset and expansive view of the lake from anywhere in the cottage. The water was warm enough to swim and the use of a canoe and kayaks really added to the overall experience. I'd highly recommend this cottage. We were just 2 people, but it is well equipped for a group.

| Thank you, Hugh and Paula for your wonderful accommodations. I have read many of the previous reviews and echo all of their sentiments. We were six adults, all family, and enjoyed the tastefully decorated bedrooms, their views, and the privacy of each. The living areas were large and very comfortable. Although the dining room is huge, we opted for the beautiful outdoor eating table on the deck overlooking the water. The decor is beyond tasteful: homey and yet decorated comfortably and beautiful. The home is in a perfect location with minutes access to Westport and Perth, both beautiful little towns. The kitchen was very well stocked, we weren't missing anything at We will be back!

| Paula and Hugh are very hospitable and friendly hosts, and they made our week-long stay at the Bedford Lake House very memorable. The layout of the cottage provides separate areas for gathering within our group. The separate dining room with a door at one end of the cottage and the bedrooms on the opposite ends offer good privacy. The kitchen is well-stocked, and there is reverse osmosis drinking water, which is a rare find in cottages. The colorful and amazing sunset viewed from the living room as mesmerizing and unforgettable. The cottage is very clean, bright, and airy. I particularly liked the repurposed coffee tables made from antique doors. We came during a cooler season, but we still enjoyed some water activities with the canoe, kayaks and paddle boat. The water is calm around the bay, making it safe to kayak with the younger kids.

| If you want a Room with a View, this is your place.
In the mood to stretch your legs Go snowshoeing. The ice was thick on the lake on my February weekend, and I could cross from shore to shore. Toronto sucks you in. This beautiful home was a great way to refresh the senses.

| It was a wonderful, relaxing stay with spectacular views of Devil Lake from many vantage points both inside and outside. The house has plenty of natural light, modern design, a well equipped kitchen with lots of space to chit chat while cooking. Clean and great linens, large bedrooms each with a wonderful view. Eating inside or outside or relaxing on the dock, the place works so well especially for larger groups, to have time together or some solo time. Hugh's vegetable garden is great and Paula's flowers on the counter is most appreciated. Loved the skylight in the shower area. Many special touches to make your stay even better than you expected.
