| Very clean but this place leaves a lot to be desired from a hospitality standpoint. Uncomfortable beds, antique dressers that are impractical. No where to leave things in the shower, not a single shelf or even a soap dish. No wine glasses (just old plastic ones that had cracks. We had to buy some real ones in town to enjoy some wine). No welcome basket or binder with restaurant info or local attractions. Traffic noise is constant, fire pit is on a tilt and you feel lile you'll fall out of your chair. View of lake is obstructed completely by trees that could easily be trimmed down. Also this listing is out of date and inaccurate - particularly the pictures of the dock. Picture shows a footed dock with a floating runner. It is actually just a giant floating dock now which made me queasy so I couldn't go on it. Also no anchor points to tie a boat. No first aid kit. Had to reach out to owner 48 hours after our check out to ask about my deposit and he didnt say thank you or ask how the week was or anything. Will not be returning.

| Our time at the Little Red Cottage was amazing! It gave us such a home away from home feeling. Paul was quick to respond to our messages and went so far as to make great recommendations for attractions and local restaurants. The cottage was nice and clean, providing guests with everything they needed for a great stay! The internet was the only drawback, you didn't get a great signal and sometimes it didn't work which could be frustrating on rainy days but all in all a great place to stay for a relaxing vacation!

| This is a clean and cozy cottage on a beautiful lake. Bancroft is nearby for essentials and restaurants. A real bonus is the proximity to walking trails at Silent Lake Park.
There are a few things that renters should be aware of: The property is very shallow and it is on a busy highway; traffic noise is significant. People with children and pets will need to be careful because the property does not have a fence or gate. There are some weeds that tickle you when you swim off the dock. The wifi was entirely unreliable during our stay.
All that said .the cottage is cute and well equipped ; the views and the sunsets are lovely.

We haven't had any feedback that traffic is loud but some folks are a bit more sensitive to road noise than others And that's ok! I'll be picking that weed myself this weekend. | We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. Exceeded our expectations in many ways. Host was very communicative and even gave us complimentary firewood and a nice bottle of wine. The dock, views, and water were lovely. We made great use of the kayaks and believe the owner must have sprayed for mosquitos because we were able to sit out all day and night without any bugs. Definitely made the trip more enjoyable. Cant wait to rent again next year!

| We could not have asked for a better cottage at a better location. The cottage was clean and the kitchen well stocked with just about everything you would need to make some great meals. We caught several fish off the dock, including a good sized largemouth bass. Paul was incredibly responsive to all of my questions (even those I should have known the answer to based on the helpful cottage guide he shared). I would absolutely rent this cottage again in the future, there's really nothing negative I can even think to mention.
