We always welcome feedback from our guests regardless of being positive or negative as we always strive to improve our business. First of all thank you for staying with us and as you shared on the personal communication you and your family enjoyed the stay at our cottage.
It's a big disappointment for us as well as not only you damaged the cooktop, you made us cancel few bookings as well. As I mentioned before, there was no crack or damage on the cooktop before and without prior knowledge on the use of cooktop, you manage to fully damage it. The cost to replace it is almost $3000 for us. We were nice enough to respect the deal and returned the cleaning fees and only kept the security deposit of $300.
All the available amenities are clearly indicated on the listing, you wouldn't have disappointments if you had read them carefully. We tested the fire detector the next day you checked out and it's working fine. As renters, we expect mutual understanding and expect guests to keep our property and belongings safe.
