| We loved our stay. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful location looking out on the lake. The listing indicated no oven and that well water had a bit of Sulphur smell so we were prepared. We went with 3 children and we were able to manage without the oven as we used the barbeque machine a lot. As for the water, they left enough gallons of bottled water for drinking and cooking; the Sulphur smell was tolerable in the shower. Had so many outdoor activities on site; and great beach, park and volleyball court few houses down. Clean place and more than enough bedding. I'm definitely booking it again this year.

| 6 friends rented this cottage for a long weekend, I wouldn't return without confirming some updates the owners told us they were working on. Points below:
1. Cleanliness. We arrived and the owner had confused our dates. The cottage was occupied by an owner and his friend. They quickly tidied up and left (under a hour) but the cottage wasn't very clean. (The owner offered to drive up and clean but we said no thanks, we just wanted to relax) This could be a one off.
2. They advise renters that the well water has a slight smell. The smell is quite strong. 4/6 fully adult individuals couldn't bring themselves to shower in it and washing dishes was a mouth-breathe and get through it situation.
3. No screen doors. A couple small windows have screens and there are fans but if you want fresh air movement the mosquitoes can come in. There's no ac.
4. They have decorative boats full of standing water aka mosquito breeding grounds onsite. (They said they would drill holes in them when I advised of it.)
5. There are a lot of different levels in the house and deck. No issue for us but if you have low vision or mobility issues it might be harder to manage.
6. The outdoor lights are beautiful but they're plugged into a power bar coming out a hole in the house. I don't know if it's a fire issue but I hope not. It looks a bit sketchy.
This has a lot of beds and a nice lake but I'm not likely to return, especially at the current rental rate.

Owner response: We always love to hear from our guests as most of them provide positive and negative feedback so we can improve our services. However, this set of friends decided to exaggerate small things so they can get away with the big damage done on the kitchen drawers. All the kitchen drawers are completely broken and need to replaced. We were nice enough to return the security deposit as there was a mix up with the check-in date. Of course, we compensated with late check-out time. Please don't damage the property and submit a negative review. | |

| Our son and his friends thoroughly enjoyed returning to Sarmila's property. It was a perfect spot for them to enjoy the outdoors and water sports. The house instructions were clearly laid out and Sarmila was very responsive and accommodating. He and his friends are hoping to come back for the 3rd year this summer!

| Firstly the lakeside was beautiful and the outside grounds were well maintained. Good parking for many cars. Some disappointments were there is no oven only a cooktop which was damaged and glued when we arrived and further cracked at the end of our stay. Dishwasher was not working. No circulation in the main rooms Kitchen/Living areas you cannot open windows as there are no screens to keep the bugs out. The fire detectors were not working. The cottage was very humid although they did offer fans for the rooms. The weekly price is set to high for the rental.

First of all thank you for staying with us and as you shared on the personal communication you and your family enjoyed the stay at our cottage. It's a big disappointment for us as well as not only you damaged the cooktop, you made us cancel few bookings as well. As I mentioned before, there was no crack or damage on the cooktop before and without prior knowledge on the use of cooktop, you manage to fully damage it. The cost to replace it is almost $3000 for us. We were nice enough to respect the deal and returned the cleaning fees and only kept the security deposit of $300. All the available amenities are clearly indicated on the listing, you wouldn't have disappointments if you had read them carefully. We tested the fire detector the next day you checked out and it's working fine. As renters, we expect mutual understanding and expect guests to keep our property and belongings safe. | |
