| The cottage was very clean and spacious with all tools & appliances to cook, bbq and have beautiful fire in the evenings ! Owners were kind and helpful providing information of the area.
The scenery was beautiful, peaceful and large. We had a wonderful time kayaking, canoeing and peddle boating. Tons of games, badminton and more! Great getaway!

| The cottage is cute and was clean. The owners were nice and showed us around and all the little things there was to use there. Lots of water toys and a lovely floating dock. The place itself was beautiful and well equipped for activities and outdoor fun. But a few things to mention and the major one being- I wish that the information and reviews stated is that it is on a major highway that goes into town. (which I understand we could have looked into and why I hope others can read this)
There are cars passing every few seconds and you can hear this from pretty much everywhere on the property and if the windows are open. As well as when walking to the water from the cottage you can be seen from the road. They do have small trees for privacy, so I see this being better when they've actually grown.
They charge a dog cleaning fee which is totally fine, but a little off putting considering there was their dog there when we arrived. Owners had people come mow the lawn on the Friday when we stayed Sunday - Sunday and just seems like it is something that could be planned for the day when your guests have checked out so that they aren't disturbed on their vacation.
Overall we had a good stay but was a bit disappointed with the noise of the place and if that wouldn't bother you it is

Réponse proprio: Hello Susan, I am sorry that you are disappointed with the location, but after you reserved your stay, I sent the actual location of the cottage and you can easily goggle it. If you don't like it, I could have easily cancel your booking. This is more than 2 acre of property and there is definitely a privacy. Yes, could be a noise from the road. We charge dog/ pet fee because we do deep cleaning/ steam floors after check out and extra work if guests have pet/s. It happens that my dog was there but we did not stay there as we have another house closeby. Lastly, it is part of our maintenance to have the lawn mow every 10 days and it just happens when you were there. Unfortunately, no locals there work on the weekend (lawn maintenance company) . I informed you a day before that someone is coming to cut the grass and never I encountered problems with my other guests. Is it nice when the lawn is maintained? We acquired the cottage 2 years ago and we planted those pines right away with the purpose of more privacy. How I wish it could grow overnight. | |

| This was my first cottage rental and the process couldn't have been easier thanks to our hosts. We found the cottage meticulously clean and inviting. We were a group of 8, 3 adults and 5 kids enjoying a week long summer holiday.
What really stood out about this cottage was the attention to detail and the little extras included. The kitchen was well stocked with necessities, The all brand new (massive) deck, patio furniture, fire pit and bbq were used every day was really nice
We loved and made a lot of use out of the well manicured open space of the property (over 2 acres), We played field soccer, frisbee and made a lot of use out of the badminton and volleyball equipment which was literally hours of entertainment for the kids.
The lake is clean and quiet also great for kids. We got a lot of use out of the 2 paddle boats, 5 inflatables and kayak, (all in good repair),
The house was well stocked with board games, a pool table and DVDS for quieter indoor evenings.
We toured around Bancroft quite a bit, visiting some local parks, Egan Chutes (waterfall hike), Papineau Beach (amazing), and mountain creek horseback trail riding (highly recommended.) Lots local stuff to do as well as some local cuisine.
The hosts made us feel comfortable, and relaxed and communication was nearly instant. We really felt like there was a lot of thought put into, on-site activities, and little extras that added to the enjoyment both in the cottage and around the property.

| From the time we got there till the last day, it was a very enjoyable vacation for myself and my family. The cottage is big, spacious, clean and beautiful. The property is well maintained and so much to do there. My kids had fun swimming and using the boat. Took lots of picture. I can't wait to go back again soon.
