Sept. 2022- Hi Ken I just wanted to say thank you so much for this opportunity to rent the cottage again. Our experience there last year cannot even be put into words as to how much we enjoyed our short stay. We haven't been able to stop talking about it and how much we all loved it. We had the whole place to ourselves just like last year. Caught lots of fish, SM, LM and walleye, all of which were released. Weather was great this year because I remember playing a lot of pool last year because of the rain. Also, a heads up about the propane tanks. One of them ran out so I replaced it with the older tank. That one seems pretty heavy so it should be good for awhile. Don't think the other tank is too full.
Anyway, thanks for a wonderful week. Once I get settled back home I'll write you a good review.

Good morning, Ken. I caught something near the dock around 6am and it didn't feel like a bass. As I was pulling it in, it broke off but I managed to catch a glimpse of it. Are there any pickerel or pike in the lake? Yes there are pickerel.

A beautiful large cottage suitable for multi family vacations. BBQ, Pool table, ping pong, paddle boat, 4 kayaks (2 kids, 2 adult), canoe, fishing poles, table games, huge entertainment room. You will enjoy lots of sleeping room here. Very private large master bedroom can easily sleep a small family. This large cottage is located on a dead end road just 15 minutes from Downtown Bancroft! with an amazing lake view. The property has a nice level spot at the top which is where the firepit is located. There are good stairs down to the dock and water's edge. The dock is a good sized lots of sitting room. Enjoy exploring the lake in the canoe,4 kayaks or paddle boat. Private Derry lake is a quiet lake with only 3 cottages on it. There is also no motor boats.The cottage itself has a large main deck and a large lake side deck overlooking the water. A very large Great Room with a nice view, big table for meals and games, ping pong/pool table is in this room as well. The bedrooms are at the other end of the cottage and the master bedroom has its own entrance with a small ensuite and hot tub. The kitchen is spacious, cute, very bright and offers a nice view of the lake and upper deck. A full size built in cook top, microwave, bbq and counter top convection oven are available for your use. Two bathrooms. Remember your linens and there is a washer and dryer as well. More pictures available, please ask. We offer weekly rentals only during the summer period.

Shore: There are steps down to the large waterside dock and the canoeing and swimming are good. There are plenty of bass and perch to be caught of the dock for the fishermen in the family. Pike and trout can be caught in nearby lakes.

| This is the second summer we've rented the cottage and everyone had a great time. The master bedroom has undergone pretty significant renovations. There is now a full ensuite bathroom with a shower. There is second bathroom that has a shower along with a washer\dryer, making the cottage ideal for larger groups or families. The are also new appliances since our last visit, including a new cooktop, oven and fridge. Outside, there is now a built-in fire pit and a sitting area around the fire pit paved with flag stones. In addition to a canoe, a pedal boat, and kayaks, there is also a paddle board this year. The wifi connection is very strong and our son and his girlfriend were able to log on to work and spend an extra day at the cottage before leaving on Tuesday. We caught lots of bass and walleye, both off the dock and in the lake, but didn't keep any fish. We saw some loons on the lake over the course of the week and was told by our neighbour down the road that they aren't very common because the birds prefer larger lakes. Finally, we went to the Bancroft Brew Pub a couple of times during our week and they have an excellent selection of craft beers and a great pub menu. Well worth a visit.

| Cottage was exceptionally clean upon arrival, comfortably fit 5 adults and 3 kids. Fantastic lake with warm water, great fishing for bass and walleye, and very peaceful with only a few cottages on the lake. We had the lake to ourselves for most of the week. Great spot to spend a week!

| Family of 5 ( supposed to be 7, but our grown sons couldn't make it) had a blast for 7 days at this very maintained cottage. We had the best times on the docks with the boats. There were enough boats for all of us to be on the water together, which was nice. The lake was very quiet and safe for the little ones, no speed boats or activities. Just ensure you bring floaties for the small ones cause the water will be over their head. Life jackets and some noodles available.
Living room area had a pool table and lots of games for those rainy days. Kids had lots of space to do online school. You could easily lose them in this place
Host were quick to respond to any issues which were minimal and unforeseen.
Another highlight was the soaker tub in the master bedroom that I literally would lock the door and enjoy away from the kids. The fire pit was also amazing and we would play games and make smores at the end of the day.
This was definitely a vacation for our family to remember for 2021. We are already planning to do it again in 2022.

| 4 women and 7 children spent a wonderful, fun-filled time at the Lamb cottage. We caught a lot of fish using worms the biggest bass one of the boys caught was at least 5lbs. There's so much space for everyone to spread out and not feel crowded. The water pressure in the shower was amazing and we had lots of hot water. The washer and dryer were clean and well maintained. If there was an issue Ken was on point and had it resolved almost immediately. We absolutely love the weed free swimming off the dock if you have little ones remember their floaties as it would be over their heads. We kayaked every day and fished from them in the evening. Lots of seating outside on the patio and the first deck at the lake. What a beautiful place we can't wait to come back.

| This was our second year in a row staying at the beautiful Lamb Family Cottage and we are already aligning our schedules to book for next year! There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out and do their own thing but the deck and family room are also large enough to accommodate your whole group when you want to all be together. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for making all your meals and the full fridge and deep freezer provide so much space for storing all your food and beverages.
We spend most of our days on the lake in the paddle boat, kayaks or lounging on the lower deck. Unfortunately, due to a ban in the area, we weren't able to enjoy a fire in the evening but we were so busy playing cards, pool and ping pong that we didn't even miss it.
Everything you need is close by, including No Frills, Shoppers Drug Mart and LCBO ;) We also made two trips to the Kawartha Dairy to pick up Ice Cream tubs to bring back to the cottage!
Ken is very responsive and available to answer any questions or concerns. I could honestly go on and on about how wonderful the Lamb Cottage is and we wouldn't change a thing. I would love to be back there now - watching the sunrise on the lower deck alone with a coffee before everyone woke up was pure bliss!
