Cedar Cove Cottage is a lovely, open concept, 3 bedroom waterfront cottage with vaulted ceilings and loads of natural sunlight beaming in. The Viceroy build offers spectacular views of Lac Gauvreau and the private island located directly in front of the cottage. With over a 150 feet of private waterfront property, this cottage is an ideal getaway. Cedar Cove Cottage is a truly private waterfront property with a private creek flowing through one side of the property. The sound of a babbling creek can be heard from the master bedroom. The cottage is located only 30 minutes from Ottawa's Byward market and minutes from historical Wakefield village. Due to its close proximity, many guests choose to stay the entire week and commute to work Monday to Friday.

Pets: Yes, we are a pet friendly cottage property. We do however kindly ask guests to ensure they clean up after their pets. We also wish to remind guests with pets that may wonder off our property or away from their owners, to tie their pets up as a courtesy to other cottagers with pets of their own.
Equipment:
The fully equipped cottage sleeps 6 adults comfortably and is ideal for 3 couples or an entire family. The Master bedroom has a queen size bed, the guest bedroom has a luxury quality double bed and the third room has a double bed plus a twin size loft bunk above the double bed. New this season, we have replaced the guest bedroom with a luxury quality double sized mattress for the most comfortable sleep possible. The 2nd guest bedroom mattress has also been replaced with a good quality new queen sized mattress. The swimming is great with a choice of swimming from the shaded sandy beach area, to jumping off the large cedar dock with full day sun exposure. The cottage is also equipped with a brand new stainless steel BBQ, all new stainless steel cookware and a front load LG washer and Dryer, so there is no need to haul your laundry back and forth to town.
Cottage rental also includes the use of two sit on top kayaks, a paddle boat and a canoe. (free)
Please note that due to the threat of invasive species, the municipality of La Pêche recently passed a bylaw prohibiting rental guests from bringing their own watercraft, powered or paddled to our lake. As such, guests are limited to the use of only those boats provided by the owner of the property in an attempt to control the spread of invasive species such as Eurasian Milfoil.
The fishing is also great with both Muskie and Bass in large quantity. Guests may purchase their Quebec fishing licence at the local hardware store on the 366 Ouest. (Ace Pro Hardware) Worms maybe purchased at the local grocery store Alimentation Pilon also located on the 366 Ouest.
Guests interested in renting a pontoon boat as an upgrade may rent our pontoon boat.

Parking:
Cedar Coves Cottage has space to accommodate a maximum of 3 vehicles. It is essential that guests do not obstruct the road in any capacity.
Booking Procedure:
In order to complete a cottage reservation renters are requested to send an email request for the specific date requested. The following information is required.
1) First and last name
2) Complete home address
3) Contact information, including both a home and cell phone number.
4) Date of birth of the individual responsible for the cottage rental
5) Number of guests one wishes to accommodate

Cottage has an apple TV box with access to Netflix with unlimited internet. Brand New this season, Cedar Coves Cottage is now equipped with a portable air conditioning unit to ensure guests are comfortable during their entire stay, including during our peak summer rental season and during heat waves.
