Cottage Description
Quiet 3 Bedroom cottage on picturesque Charleston Lake with wifi.
A large, deep, clean lake with over 100 miles of shoreline and more than 200 islands. Cottage is located on a large private lot with a Sandy Beach, Deck, Screened-in Porch, 20 foot dock including a rowboat, fire pit (wood provided), and more. Located right at the water's edge, this peaceful retreat has excellent swimming, sand bottom and beach and is situated on a gentle sloping, child and pet-friendly lot. A fisherman's paradise with ample lake trout, bass and pike. Or catch panfish and perch right off the dock. Relax and enjoy the peace and quiet or the neighbouring loons and great blue herons, just a few feet away. The bay where this cottage is located is one of the calmest and most secluded areas on the lake. Cottage is very dog friendly given the amount of space to roam on or off leash. A BBQ is also provided that you will have access to. 10-15 minutes away from grocery store and the nearest small town. The owners are close by in case you need anything during your stay. Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands located 20 mins away in case you are looking for a fun night out! All in all a very quiet and private location that is perfect for families or groups of 6 or less. Cottage is typically fully booked all summer but since we had such cold weather early on in the summer there are still weeks available! Rates are posted above.

Cottage receives the afternoon sun. Charleston Lake is approx 9 miles long and 4 miles wide and is over 300 feet deep in some spots. The many islands, bays, inlets, unusual shoreline and crown land (half of lake shoreline is crown land) contributes to the lake's unique character and charm. There are many areas to hike located near the cottage and all over the lake. The natural wildlife is plentiful and you will hear loons every day and see great blue herons, geese, ducks and other waterfowl on a regular basis. The Lake Trout fishing is renowned but those that appreciate smallmouth bass will also be impressed by the great fishing. If you have children or pets, this is a unique property that is gentle sloping with a small beach area and sand bottom swimming area. Although the lake is quite large, the cottage is located in a small, quiet bay. Cottage located on South end of lake.

Screened-in Porch - with furniture. Perfect for meals or after hours card games and board games.
Outside - Deck, Bar B-Q, Fire pit, Picnic Table, 20 foot Dock, Sandy Beach, row boat provided, Parking. Deep water boat launch close by, 5-10 minute drive.
