Toabh Na Mara cottage (Gaelic meaning "beside the sea") is located in the quaint historic village of Pugwash, Nova Scotia on the Northumberland Strait. It is a beautifully restored 100 year old cottage on Crescent Beach. Toabh Na Mara owns a spectacular 180 degree view of Baie Verte in the Northumberland Strait and the approaches to Pugwash harbor, facing west toward the sunset. Pugwash is located in the center of the Maritime Provinces of Canada. From Pugwash you can stand and look over the strait, viewing three Canadian provinces. Toabh Na Mara is also within a ten minute walk from antique shops, gift shops, visitor information center, hospital, drug store, supermarket, liquor store, ice creme parlor, Horton Art Gallery, post office, Saturday market, bank and restaurants in the village. For the active person, there is a tennis court, basketball court, beach volleyball court and playground. It is only a 10 minute drive to world class golf courses, Northumberland Links and award winning Fox Harbor golf course. Toabh Na Mara is newly restored with a modern kitchen featuring a full sized range and fridge as well as a dishwasher, double toaster, microwave, and coffee brewer. Dishes, serving platters, glasses and utensils...ready for entertaining or intimate dining. The four piece bathroom is gorgeous and offers a full sized washer and dryer. It also includes towels, soaps, a hair dryer and clothes iron. Toabh Na Mara also has an enclosed hot/cold outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. There is a fire pit, and a propane BBQ. | We loved our stay there. There was everything we could possibly need and then some. Games and books for our enjoyment. We were 4 seniors and there was easy water access which was great. The water was so warm. Beautiful views of the ocean where you could sit in the morning on the sunporch and enjoy your coffee in peace and quiet. We'll miss the sound of the waves lapping against the shore. Could stay there forever. Thank you Tim and Donna for sharing your little bit of paradise with us. Thanks for the memories. Karl & Flo

| Spent a fantastic week at this lovely waterfront cottage. It was immaculately clean and we had everything we needed. The location was perfect and we enjoyed many fun days watching the ocean and combing the beach for beach glass. Easy communication with the owners. I am looking forward to the next time!

| We had an amazing stay at Toabh Na Mara! I wish we could of stayed forever. The cottage is cute and comfortable. It was well stocked and everything was very clean. Tim always responded to my inquiries quickly and was a great host. The view and sound of the waves crashing were the best part! We stayed the week of our wedding and hope to be able to come back on many anniversaries to relive the memories!

| Great spot, absolutely charming cottage on the Northumberland shore! Spectacular sunsets, awesome tides, lots of beach to wander on. Pugwash is a nice village, easy walk from the cottage and a great pewter studio just on the edge of town! We wanted someplace that was central to all 3 provinces as we had plans to do a lot of sight seeing.....everything is within a couple hours drive, was wonderful to be able to go to Cavendish Beach, Hopewell Rocks, Lunenburg, and Halifax and still be 'home' for the sunset and fresh lobster dinners every night.
