| We had a wonderful stay, perfect for our small family reunion. We really enjoyed canoeing & kayaking on the lake, looking for bull frogs and turtles, swimming and exploring the island. Thank you so much, we will for sure be coming back!

| We stayed at this delightful cottage July 16-23 this summer. The description of the cottage was accurate although we were not ready for how charming it would be in person. Loved the decor, complete with antiques and little artful treasures partially hidden in the beams. One of our group's top booking priorities is to have a lake that is good for swimming. (Clear, clean water, no weeds, ability to jump of dock or rocks or walk in to lake) And we found it this year at The Watson Granary!!!! The lake is perfect for swimming (and paddling) and we pretty well had the lake to ourselves all week. The little island across the lake was the perfect spot to sun, swim and watch the ducks and turtles swim by. The cottage itself is beautiful with a comfortable main level where we could all hang out together yet have room to do our own thing. The bedrooms were very comfortable and there was an abundance of places to sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking large family meals and we enjoyed eating outside on the large deck overlooking the lake. We really enjoyed our week here!

| We rented this cottage with my son's family. There were 4 adults and 3 teenagers. Everyone had a comfortable bed.The cottage is beautiful with its cathedral ceiling, large family dinner table, perfectly stocked kitchen and large patio that allowed us to enjoy the beautiful fall colors. The 'kids' used the canoe and kayak and enjoyed the almost private small lake. It was very peaceful to sit on the dock and watch the beaver going back and forth on the lake. We did do some fishing and I was lucky enough to catch a beautiful trout. The road going into the driveway is steep, but was packed down. The owner is very responsive and was a delight to deal with. I would highly recommend this rental.

| Wonderful cottage but the driveway to get down is a complete nightmare. Unless you have a 4x4 DO NOT rent here. You will not be able to get back up the hill. The road is soft and gravel and not well maintained and it's incredibly steep. If you don't drive a car that has 4 wheel drive you will not be able to get back up the hill. We were stuck for hours before being able to get out after dozens of attempts. There is no warning in the listing about this and we were not informed before we got there and down the hill and by that point it was too late.

Owner response: Thank you Dan for your feedback. For everyone's benefit, we had a series of torrential downpours that caused the road to become soft and get damaged. We warned Dan and Elaine both in writing and in person, to park above the driveway in the designated parking spot and NOT to drive down unless he had a 4x4 (or we could get the road fixed). It was very difficult to arrange for repairs during the construction holiday in Quebec. It is factually incorrect to say he was was NOT warned. He could have parked on top as we suggested. He ignored our advice and drove down with 2 trailers full of heavy scuba gear and predictably got stuck. Despite the circumstances, we went over and beyond the call of duty and arranged for a tow truck at our cost to have him towed out. The road has since been repaired and we do maintain it regularly. While it is rather steep 20% slope in some areas ( not incredibly steep), the driveway was approved by the municipality and was built to code. Driveways of this nature are common in the Val des Monts area. If you have any concerns, please call me. | |

| What a beautiful cottage, perfectly sequestered with plenty of space and nature on the grounds right on Trout lake. We had an incredible stay over the New Year holiday. When we arrived, the fire was already going, and everything was warm and clean and inviting. Mark was patient and communicative and a perfect host. The kitchen is stocked with so many spices and anything you would need to feel at home and prepared for a holiday meal. My partner even enjoyed playing the piano. Heated floors in the kitchen and bathroom were a nice touch, as was the large stock of firewood and the beautiful fire place. Gorgeous views from the living room (two story ceilings) and the terrace onto the lake. We even managed to shovel a skating rink and enjoy that too. I highly recommend this chalet. We were a couple and a pup, but this cabin is well equipped for 10-15 people. We look forward to returning to this oasis!
