This is a safe location for children and adults to swim, wade and splash about in the warm lake water. Two ride-on-the-top BIC kayaks with paddles and adult size personal flotation devices are provided for visitors to use. The second bedroom is furnished with a comfortable queen-sized bed. A well-furnished and cozy one room guest cabin is located just a few steps from the main cottage. It can serve as the third or forth bedroom. It's furnished with a queen-sized bed and a couch that easily converts to a single bed. The cottage owner feels very comfortable drinking this water. There is an extra large water heater on the lower level that supplies the cottage with an unlimited supply of hot water.

A full sized washer and dryer are provided on the lower level for guests to use during their stay.
In the evening, guests of the Willow Bank cottage can enjoy a blazing campfire in the shoreline located fire pit. Complimentary fire wood is provided. Families and groups staying at the cottage have made lasting memories roasting marshmallows or hot dogs over the open campfire. On clear nights, the star filled sky overhead at the cottage can be truly amazing.
Tobermory is the closest town to the cottage. This picturesque little village is clustered around a natural harbour and features many restaurants, tourist shops, grocery stores and a liquor and beer store.
An increasingly popular tourist activity is the Sunset Dinner Cruise aboard the Chi-Cheemaun Ferry. The ferry sails from Tobermory at dinner time heading north across the wide expanse of Georgian Bay to Manitoulin Island. Passengers can walk on to the boat in Tobermory and can dine as the sail over to Manitoulin Island. While they are dining, travelers can watch a spectacular sunset in the western sky over Georgian Bay or Lake Huron. Travelers heading to Tobermory and points south will then board the ferry and it will then sail back to Tobermory arriving around mid-night. While sailing to Tobermory, the place to be is on the stern deck watching an amazing display of stars or the Northern Lights overhead.
For photographers, hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, this area of Ontario is where dreams can come true. Tobermory has been called the Dive Capital of Canada. Scuba dive charters leave the downtown Tobermory area on a regular basis to take divers out to the many ship wrecks that lie beneath the crystal blue water's of Georgian Bay.

Note: The Willow Bank cottage is located in a natural area on the shores of a sheltered inlet of Lake Huron. The cottage is aptly named because it was built on the bank of a trout stream named the Willow Creek as it flows into Lake Huron. This trout stream attracts birds, waterfowl and a wide variety of animals.
There might be many good cottages to book on the Northern Bruce Peninsula but there are few that offer visitors as quiet and private a location as the Willow Bank cottage. AVAILABILITYLast update: August 28, 2024 |

| We just got back from the cottage and we had a wonderfull, relaxing time. So many different view locations in the cottage of the gorgeous calm bay. Great for kayaking or just cooling down in. Glen was very communicative with us and made sure all our needs were met. My two young boys had a great time, and loved using the bunkie cottage. Great setup and great atmosphere. Thanks again.

| Willow Bank is an exceptionally comfortable, private, and well-stocked cottage in a beautiful location on a creek, close to Lake Huron. The furniture and beds are in good shape; there are two comfy rooms for watching TV, a large deck with lounge chairs and dining table, kayaks to explore the water, and the kitchen has everything you need to cook meals. Glenn is a responsive host who clearly cares about ensuring that his guests enjoy their stay.

| We had a wonderful stay at Willow Bank. The cottage is beautifully situated on calm water, just off of Lake Huron - perfect for kayaking and paddleboating, with gentle water access for kids to wade and look for frogs. Lots of green space for playing, as well as a gorgeous main deck where we spent a lot of time, with another beautiful deck on the second floor that was perfect for watching stars. The location is quiet and secluded, but close to Tobermory, Singing Sands, and Bruce Trail hiking. The cottage itself is spacious and comfortable, well maintained and supplied, and clean (especially appreciated during COVID). A lot of care has gone into making Willow Bank a beautiful retreat, and Genn was an excellent host. The kids, adults, and grandparents in our group all had a great time and we hope to return again!

Owner response: Thank you Katie for inputting such a lovely review of the Willow Bank cottage. I am always thrilled to read that my guests have enjoyed their stay. The woman, Holly, that oversees the majority of the cottage preparedness for my guests between groups does a wonderful job of ensuring that the cottage is clean, tidy and well equipped for all of my guests. The Willow Bank is located in a very unique and private setting on the beautiful Northern Bruce Peninsula. It really is a magical place. I look forward to hearing from you again. Stay safe.

| I don't even know where to begin. One word that comes to mind. AMAZING. My husband and I just returned from a week at this amazing cottage. We had our children and grandson come up for a couple of nights and then my husbands parents for a couple nights. This cottage is your home away from home. So peaceful and the views were spectacular. Glenn was there to meet us on our arrival to take us for the formal tour. The cottage is equipped with everything and the beds were comfortable. Very clean and beautiful place. Looking forward to planning our next vacation. If you are looking for relaxation, and gorgeous views then look no further. This is the place.

Owner response: Thank youSherri lynn for taking the time to post a review of your family's stay at the Willow Bank cottage. It was my pleasure to host you and your family at the cottage this September. Three generational familes are my favourite groups. I know they will be respectful of my property and will be making long lasting memories of spending quality time together. Many of them have made staying at the Willow Bank cottage an annual tradition. This year, dealing with Covid-19 has forced me to re-examine our cleaning protocols between groups. I am fortunate to have a woman that does an incredible job of cleaning and preparing the cottage for all of my guests. I am glad you and your family enjoyed your stay and would welcome you all back to the Willow Bank cottage anytime. Thanks again and stay safe.

| Just returned from a week here. Cottage was very clean with recently upgraded bathrooms, well stocked kitchen, amazing deck to enjoy the view and lots of privacy. Glenn was great to deal with and quick to respond to questions.
We went in September and definitely got lucky with the weather. Lots of hiking trails in nearby national parks, didn't really go to the beach other than to check it out but it was very nice as well.
We would definitely return, couldn't really ask for much more.

Owner response: Thank you Lorry for taking the time to input a review of your recent stay at the Willow Bank cottage. We have been going steady since mid-June and the Willow Bank cottage has been completely booked since then. Not a single night was left vacant from then to Thanksgiving. It can be a lot of work and attention to details. I am fortunate to have an excellent person doing the bulk of the cottage cleaning and the preparation work for all of the families and groups staying at the cottage. I oversee the change-over's between groups and also perform cottage maintenance. I take pride in delivering the highest degree of client service from the time of someone's first enquiry, through the booking process, a Guest's arrival and stay at the cottage and afterward, a follow-up to ensure that they enjoyed their stay. It makes me happy to know that our Guests have appreciated our work and have enjoyed their stay. The Willow Bank cottage is located in a very private and unique location on the water's edge of a sheltered bay of Lake Huron on the beautiful Northern Bruce Peninsula. What better place to rest, relax and isolate while escaping from the pressures of our lives during Covid-19? I would welcome your group back anytime to the Willow Bank cottage Lorry. Thanks again. Stay safe.
