The Timberlight Cottage is a chalet style cottage, with over 200 feet of sandy frontage on Bay Lake, is the perfect getaway for families and medium sized groups.

The cottage is especially suited for families with kids. Bay Lake is crystal clear and clean. At the shore, the water is shallow, and gets deeper very gradually. The hard-packed sandy bottom is an excellent surface for kids to play and swim. Many guests will settle into one of the Muskoka chairs on the dock while watching the children swim and play in the water!

This new cottage has a rustic feel, but has all of the conveniences of home including a dishwasher, laundry facilities etc. There are three large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a huge great room with dining and living room space, a very large sunny recreation room, laundry room and a beautiful kitchen.

The large deck wraps around the front and side of the cottage; a perfect place to dine, read, or just listen to the call of the loons.

The cottage is equipped with many games. You will have a high quality volleyball net for water-volleyball, a professional bocce court with bocce balls, a foosball table, ping pong table, pool table and many board games for adults and children and plenty of lawn space to play.

With almost 4 acres of forested property to explore, you may see deer, hawks, woodpeckers and many other birds. On the lake you could see loons, ducks and and great blue herons. Bay Lake is known for it's pickerel fishing, but you may also catch bass, pike, perch and even lake trout.

Outstanding cottage for families with young children. Gorgeous safe shallow clean waterfront. Every amenity you could think of both inside and outside the cottage. Newer cottage so although cosy not too rustic with modern conveniences including a really great BBQ. Nicely furnished and very well equipped. Rick was easy to deal with and quick to respond. We really appreciated being allowed to take our dogs.....they loved it too! Will definitely go again.

Wow. Exceeded our expectations in every way. The place was awesome.

I won't get into all the descriptive details, as they are already listed above, but one thing that really stood out was how nice the waterfront is. It's hard packed sand and super shallow around the dock which makes it nice and warm. Perfect for children and dogs. You can literally walk out 150 yards before the water level gets up to your neck.

Another detail not really listed in the description was the friendly neighbours. I've stayed at a couple cottages where the neighbours weren't the best. Not the case here. We met neighbours from three of the cottages near by and all were super nice.

And last but not least, Rick the owner was very pro to deal with. Quick responses through e-mail. And very thorough e-mail attachments once the cottage was booked like the contract, life at cottage package, recycling/garbage, and optional cleaning. Those were very useful and answered any questions I had.

My group and I have all agreed we'd like to rent here again. Can't wait.

There is nothing negative to say about Rick's amazing cottage. We stayed for a weekend in the winter and had a fantastic time. The property is well maintained and the cottage itself was immaculate. We had a great time, too bad it was only a weekend, hopefully will be a week next time!

The games room is incredible and could easily keep a dozen people occupied at the same time, the outside would be great for campfires, bbqing, swimming, and general relaxation - like I said, there is nothing negative to say about this place.

Kitchen is well equipped, there's a fireplace that adds cozyness in the winter, the views are great to wake up, the property is private but not too far away from amenities.

Rent it, you will love it - rain or shine, summer or winter you've got things to do.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Timberlight Cottage. Rick was very easy to talk with and he is also very accommodating. The view of the lake is perfect, especially in the morning. It is perfect to relax and enjoy the scenery. The cottage was very clean. We couldn't ask for more. We are hoping we could rent this cottage again soon.

We had a group of 9 people stay at the cottage and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay! When trying to plan our weekend at the cottage, Rick was very helpful answering any questions I had and made the entire booking and planning process extremely simple. The cottage, inside and out, was great! The interior is bright and open and there's lots to do outside as well. In summary, the entire experience exceeded my expectations! I would recommend the cottage to anyone and hope to be back myself one day. Thanks again for all your help, Rick.
