It is a beautiful cottage. Nice location, perfect view and fully equipped. Wash rooms are clean. Canoes, row boat, paddle boat, life jackets etc. are available for fun. Owner of the cottage is friendly and responsive. We spent good time there with friends and family. I would recommend the cottage to anyone.

We had an amazing time with 11 close friends. This was our second time staying at the cottage. Everything was absolutely perfect. It's a beautiful cottage, fully equipped and a perfect view. Tomson was very responsive and was always there to answer any questions. I would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone. Thank you Tomson for another memorable stay!

Tomson is a wonderful host - kind and responsive. The cottage was perfect for our group of 8 and the ground floor bedroom was much appreciated for our senior father. It is an older building... and the curves and uneven floors expressed in an earlier review is only really noticeable at the washroom, and adds to the funkiness of the building. There is central air on the ground floor and a window unit (and fans for each bedroom) on the 2nd floor. It was pretty hot during our stay so this was HEAVEN! As was the dishwasher! There is a desk in the ground floor bedroom for the self-employed amoung us that need to stay in touch with our businesses, and the internet and TV service worked very well.

The yard is very large and there are a ton of amenities provides such has a row boat and paddle boat. I found the sounds of the dam quite soothing. The view from both of the porches is wonderful. The town is literally down the street and has everything that you could be looking for... you can even buy 7 ice cream cones for a $20 bill at the store by the town dock!

Overall, this rental is not geared for those looking for a fancy-dancy-executive stay, but it is very well-suited for a family or a group... it is very comfortable, has everything that you need and is very good value for your money. Thank you Tomson for allowing us to stay... we will be back!!

Owner response:
thank you very much. we always do our best to make our Guests stay comfortable with our occasional limitations.
glad you all enjoyed 1 . Have a great summer

We had a family reunion at this cottage, 14 people totally, including 10 adults, 2 youth and 2 children. A fun-filled weekend, we did boating, fishing and bonfire, just in the backyard. Kitchen has most of the things we need, living room is perfect for all of us stay close and had a family trivia blast. The smart TV is great to show all of the pictures and connect to our karaoke system! on Sunday afternoon we drove to Algonquin Provincial park, highway 35 was stunning with the great fall colour!

1 bathroom and 1 powder room is a little bit short for all of us, but both are clean.

Overall, it is a great cottage, very worth the money we spent!!

Owner response:
Thank you sunny for your review. Yes for 14 people the washrooms may be bit short. Usually we have a max of 12 people even though we donot enforce that max limit. thanks for renting and hope to see you at our cottage next season !!!

Great place for a great price. As a group of 9 adults (and 3 children), we were able to sleep comfortably in this small space. The kitchen can get a little snug for a big group, so just keep that in mind. Photos mirror the cottage perfectly. The living space is quite large, however you do want to spend your time outside rather than inside - fishing off the dock/bridge and using the water toys was one of the highlights. The current from the dam can carry you away, so just be mindful than you may have a pedal/row a little harder :) Owner is very responsive and helpful - you could always get in touch with him to get any information, details, or clarification that you require. Please note that the back slopes down from the deck all the way to the water...if you have very little kids, it can be difficult for them to run around as they will struggle to maintain their balance (we saw this first hand with the littles that came with us). The cottage next door is a little more flat (and we were able to share the space for the most part). The inside of the cottage is also a little slanted...so if you feel like it's uneven, you are right - but it's not horrible. Very close to Foodland, LCBO, Home Hardware, etc. So if you forget something at home, you can find it there. Worth the price!

Owner response:
This cottage is one of the the oldest in the area which has been restored over the time. We still kept some of the original frames and doors. We respectfully acknowledge that the floor is bit uneven slopping couple of inches at some places, but this never been a problem for all. As a matter of fact many little ones like the slope to runaround. My own children and their friends , all grown up now, still chooses #9 cottage than #11. Old folks like me or my wife !!! like #11 since its more flat. Bottom line is that its a cottage with plus and minuses. 2 or 3 days is not enough to enjoy at this lovely place. Take this cottage for a week . You wont be disappointed.
