Three bedrooms, two with double beds, one with a single bed plus a sofa bed in the loft. A deck facing the lake runs across the entire front, alongside the screened-in dining room. Master bedroom with lake view has en suite bathroom. The deck is in the trees but the cottage gets excellent light and is superbly ventilated by the gentlest breeze. West-facing, for sunset BBQs. There's an outdoor shower, with a view of the lake. And a nice hammock. 225 feet of secluded waterfront. Pemichangan is Algonquin for 'clear water'. It is pristine, due to the lake's geological make-up - plus the fact that no inhabited lakes feed into ours. The nearest visible neighbour's dock is about 80 metres away. The one on the opposite side is about 40 metres but is tucked around the point. So, if skinny-dipping's your thing (no pictures please), you don't have to wait until dark. There is a fixed dock that can handle 2-3 boats, depending on the size, plus a floating dock with a diving board that keeps the kids busy. Comes with 2 kayaks, canoe, paddles, life jackets. Great lake for exploring with canoe routes, portages, islands with rope swings and a diving rock. Or you can just paddle to the depanneur for more beer and wine. There is WIFI but it is not a condition of the rental. We have fibre-optic which has never failed us but if you need to work from home please choose another cottage. I don't need any panicky, I'm-gonna-lose-my-job phone calls from renters who can't get online. That is why WIFI/ internet is not a rental condition.
ATTENTION PARENTS OF EXHAUSTING CHILDREN: We're a five minute drive (10 minute canoe) from the Gatineau Fish and Game Club, which runs a kids' camp daily from 10am-3pm. If it has not been fully booked, they will accommodate non-members.
THIS CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING.
Note: It's a one week minimum rental. The rate is $3000 per week, except June and September when it's $2000.
We do not do weekends only. Please don't ask.
Available June-Thanksgiving. No winters.

| The best! This is the quintessential Canadian cottage we hope to visit again and again. We found it spacious and comfortable, enjoyed preparing meals in the well-appointed kitchen, and gathering around the large table in the dining porch. The dock and swimming area is perfect for long sunny days spent on the water. We appreciated being able to enjoy the kayaks and canoe to explore beautiful Lac Pemichangan. Richard is a wonderful host and very responsive.

| We stayed a week at Richard's cottage and it was wonderful. The place is beautiful and has everything you need. The water is so clean, there is a large dock that we lived on for the week. Richard is very welcoming and checks in to make sure everything is going well! I highly recommend this place!

| We stayed at Richard's for a week in June 2022 and had an amazing stay!! We usually canoe camp and lac Pemichangan is our starting point and we portage through the different surrounding lakes, but with a little one, that wasn't a possibility this year, so we were thrilled to find this cottage. The location has something for everyone, beautiful views from the deck, a hammock, perfect dock for catching some sun and swimming and much more! There were 5 of us, my husband and I, our 7-month old son and my parents. We were all very comfortable in the cottage and had everything we needed. My parents brought their boat, which allowed us to explore the beautiful lake and we also did a day trip over to lac des 31 Milles, which is absolutely worth it if you have a boat. Richard was an excellent communicator and made himself available the whole time we were there, quickly responding to WhatsApp messages and calling as needed. We highly recommend this rental and hope to go back again ourselves !

| My girlfriend and I had a great week up at Richard's cottage on Lac Pemichangan last September - our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!
The cottage has everything you could possibly want for that perfect summer getaway. The cottage itself is very spacious, but cozy at the same time ! it offers many features to keep you comfortable during your stay without losing its rustic charm. The location is perfect ! the building itself is surrounded by a mature pine forest which gives you a lot of privacy. You'll get that sense of being disconnected, but still be just a short drive away from the local convenience store if you run out of something. The view from the main deck/living area out onto the lake is incredible!
The dock and beach area were perfect for swimming, fishing, and just lounging around to read a book (it's really easy to dock your boat there). Lac Pemichangan was a lot of fun to boat around on ? we explored a few islands, found some great back bays for fishing, and even a hidden hiking trail that led to another lake!
It is also dog friendly, which was a huge plus for us ! our Shetland Sheepdog !Riley! had as good a time as we did!
Richard is the perfect host, and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. We have rented a number of cottages in the past few years, and this was hands-down the best. We can't wait to go back this summer!
Ps. You have to try the outdoor shower ! it is amazing!

| Gem indeed! As long time cottage renters, we were very pleased with this cottage on what IMO is one of the finest lakes in the region. Nested high in the trees with a beautiful breeze and a great dock for day long fun in the sun! The local depanneur a short canoe ride away makes for a pleasant restock of groceries and wine/beer rather than hopping back in the car and going into town. Owner goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as can be. We will be back, highly recommended.
