Brendan's Cove cottage is a super charming, bright, 3 bedroom, plus solarium, open concept cottage located right on the water's edge. Located on the very sought after Lac Gauvreau, Brendan's Cove cottage is literally only 30 minutes from Ottawa's ByWard Market and minutes from the historical and touristic fair trade village of Wakefield, Quebec. In the heart of the Gatineau park region, there could be no better place to spend your summer or fall getaway with friends and family. The fully equipped cottage sleeps 6 adults comfortably and is the ideal getaway for 3 couples or an entire family. Please note that we accept a maximum of 6 guests in total. The master bedroom has a king sized bed with all new bedding, including a lovely feather duvet and feather duvet pillows. The 2nd guest bedroom has 2 twin sized beds which can be pushed together to form a king size mattress for a couple or left apart for friends or children to enjoy. The third guest bedroom has a set of twin bunk beds, plus a roll out trundle twin size mattress to accommodate up to 3 children / guests in the bunk bedroom.
Cottage rental includes access to a paddle boat and a canoe. Guests wishing to explore the lake by Kayak may contact the owner directly to inquire about the availability of borrowing kayaks from another rental property located on the same lake.
Please note that due to the threat of invasive species, the municipality of La Pêche recently passed a bylaw prohibiting rental guests from bringing their own watercraft, powered or paddled to our lake. As such, guests are limited to the use of only those boats provided by the owner of the property in an attempt to control the spread of invasive species such as Eurasian Milfoil.

| Had a wonderful week of tranquility at Brendan's Cove!
Appreciate Kelly accommodating our last minute request for a rental. The cottage was bright and airy, with big windows & a lovely patio overlooking the lake, a cozy fire pit & dock on the water. Beautiful setting... perfect spot for a morning coffee.
The space was well suited for our family of 5... our kids loved swimming, seeing fish and peddle-boating. Cottage was well equipped and thought out... even had some toys. My kids didn't want to leave.
Only negative was the fire ban currently on in the region - would have loved to use the fire pit.

| Thank you so much for a very pleasant week on Lac Gauvreau. The cottage was exactly as advertised, and Kelly was super helpful with the booking and organizing. Conveniently close to Ottawa was so nice, no long drive to arrive. Also really nice to nip over to beautiful Wakefield (5 minutes) for some browsing, a tasty lunch or an excellent supper. The cottage was just what we wanted, comfortable without being extravagant. On those few days when the weather didn't cooperate, the open and bright cottage spaces with all the windows made our card games, puzzles and reading very pleasant. Sitting on the deck, enjoying the serenity of the Canadian outdoors was rejuvenating. Thank you again for giving us a wonderful week of relaxation.

| We booked a months stay here last year and we had a few issues, of which were pointed out to Kelly and some were rectified and some were not. I sent Kelly a lengthy email at the end of our stay to point out some things that should be addressed, especially if you're planning a long term stay, as we did. She did not respond at all! Anyway the worst of the conditions here were 1) the entry to the lake is EXTREMELY weedy and no place for children! 2) the front of the property looking toward the lake is EXTREMELY overgrown, not as in wild flower as in not mowed for years, trees growing under decking. 3) no sun protection if you want to sit outside, a umbrella is definitely needed. 4) no lighting outside on deck either! 5) dining is not adequate for more than 4 people inside. 6) 2nd bathroom is outside of cottage, that's right, you have to leave the cottage to use the bathroom that is located outside!
Kelly seemed to be more concerned with rules and regulations of the cottage association and posting notices, than the comfort her guests. Netflix also stopped working and it was up to us to provide it ourselves, they had no time to reboot it.

| This wonderful cottage was the setting for celebrating my 90th birthday!! With it's large open-concept kitchen/living room it was the perfect setting for all the guests who came for a summer party. There is a large dining table on the deck where the younger crowd collected, and the living room was big enough for the rest of us. The BBQ handled all the steaks and hamburgers. We swam directly off the dock in the refreshing water of Lac Gauvreau. For those of us who stayed the week, the beds were comfy and the bunky was well-used. Our overall opinion "WOW"!
