| This was our second New Years weekend at Towering Pines and again it was amazing. The weather was rainy this time but we were warm and cozy inside with 3 fireplaces going. There is enough room for everyone to sit around the table to play games and also quiet corners to curl up with a book. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Andrea and Jason are great hosts to work with!

Owner response: Hi Marlene. I'm so happy you had a great time even though the weather did not cooperate. Days before, it was a Winter wonderland...So sorry you missed that. You and your family are a pleasure, and we hope to see you back again soon. Warm regards, Andrea & Jason | |

| This cottage was amazing from the time we walked in and saw how stunning the structure was. Every room was beautiful and comfortable, the kitchen was supplied with everything we needed, the waterfront was just great for little and big kids. We were a group of 18 and it was the perfect place for our gathering. We swam, canoed, paddle boated and had great fun at our campfire. It was beyond our expectations and though it was an expensive weekend for us, it was well worth it for celebrating our 50th anniversary with all our family.

| It was perfect. Towering Pines is a roomy clean log cottage full of character. (The biggest logs we've ever seen!). The swimming area (very important to our bunch) was great with a clean small beach, large dock, water toys all on a quiet lake. The hosts had great prompt communication and any rules were clear and reasonable, and we felt very comfortable in their beautifully decorated space. The whole family hopes to come back every year now, since no other cottage has checked all our boxes like Towering Pines!

| Our extended family uttered a collective ?WOW? upon entering Towering Pines Retreat, a spectacular ?One of a Kind? log cabin that is artfully decorated, cozy and comfortable, superbly equipped including a new Napoleon Bar-B-Q and bottled water dispenser, spacious, and impeccably clean?a place where memories are made that last a lifetime!!!
Andrea and Jason are extraordinary hosts who genuinely care about your vacation experience, respond immediately to all messages, queries and requests, and generously gift ?welcome? bottles of wine!!
The setting amongst majestic pines that whisper in the wind, the call of the loon, the morning mist rising off the lake and beautiful sunsets make this unique property extra special!!
The lake is crystal clear; the sandy beach and bottom are perfect for little children and the dock is perfect for older kids to ?cannonball? into the deep water!! The canoes and peddle boat were wonderful vehicles to tour the non-motorized lake!!
The fire pit, chairs and surrounding space were perfect for safe bon fires with lots of s'mores, stories and songs!!
The cottage is located 10 minutes from Bancroft, a picturesque and interesting town.
It is a 4 seasons retreat and each season would offer its own wonderful experience!!
Our extended family are looking forward to our return to Towering Pines Retreat!!!
